#136 challenge at lost Coast Designs, Man cave!

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Hallo stampers and crafters.
Here a post by me, Riet.

Today we have a challenge that I really enjoy but also find a bit difficult.
But that makes it all the more challenging.
To make this card you will need:

Stamps LCD

Furthermore, you will need a stone wall stencil.
I used Dutch Doobadoo wall stencil.
distress oxide,
antique linen
weathered wood
iced spruce
Ground espresso
Versafine onyx black
Acrylic paint cream color
Color pencils or markers
white gel pen

First we start by applying the antique linen, weathered wood and iced spruce to the craft sheet.
Spray some water over this and dab your paper in it.
Dry well.

Now stamp half of the fourth dimension stamp with the versafine black.
This will be the floor.
With the stencil we are now going to make the stone wall with distress oxide ground espresso.
When that's done, we shift the stencil a little bit and sponge the acrylic paint over it. We call this the bump technique.
When the paint is dry, we carefully sand the paint here and there with a sandingblock.

Stamp the jukebox and the zztop gnome on thin paper and color with pencils or markers.
Stick them on the card and give some white accents with the white gelpen.
Stamp the badass text and you're done.

Well that was fun to do.
Show us what you can make with this theme and you have a chance to win stamps.
You can even participate with stamps from another brand, as long as your card or project is stamped.
The team would like to see it.
So come and join oure challenge!

#136 Man cave challenge at Lost Coast designs

Hello stamp friends.
Today an artjournal page.
I chose the boxer stamp for this, because it fits so well into the "man cave" theme.

I worked on Terschelling 300 gram watercolor paper 24x30cm.
This paper has a rough structure and absorbs a lot of water.
And that is necessary because we are going to work with Brusho.

What materials I used:
stamps:

Further materials
Stencil: numbers - arrow - chevron.
Brusho - Orange - Leaf green - Yellow Ocre - Turquoise.
Stazon Timber brown.
Posca pen white.
Black pencil.
Skin colored marker.
White acrylic paint.
Thin paper to stamp the boxer on.

We are going to start with the design of the stamps for the background.
Let the stazon ink dry well.

Spray plenty of water on the paper.

Sprinkle small amounts of brusho on the water as you see fit.
Do this very carefully, because brusho is a true color explosion.
Think of it like this, better to sprinkle two or three times than too much at once.
See for yourself whether water needs to be added or whether it should be dabbed off.

With a stencil and white acrylic paint you sponge the numbers, arrow and chevron.

With a spatula you make 2 x wipes with white acrylic paint.
When its dry you can stamp the badass stamp on the paint.

Now only finishing, with the posca pen some lines around the stamps,
and give the checkerd border  white blocks.
Use the black pencil to outline the arrow, chevron and numbers.
And give the boxer some shade with the black pencil.
And then you're done, I hope you enjoyed this step by step.

You might like to join the challenge.
You don't necessarily have to use LCD stamps, but you do have to stamp with real stamps.
Read through the rules and then join in the fun.
You have a chance to win new stamps.

#135 Let's fly challenge at Lost Coast Designs. Step by step marble background.

Hi there, I love this theme, you can use what ever you like that can fly.
Birds, butterfly's, dragonfly's or steampunk images with wings, angels and .........

Stamps that I used and how I made the card.

Butterfly set.

Art wings to fly.

Coatted paper
Distress oxide:
Iced spruce
Speckled egg
Bundled sage
Stazon black
and some markers for coloring.

Smear some of the 3 oxide colors on your craftsheet and spray with water.
Dab the paper in here, repeat until you are satisfied.
I left it very light because I wanted a marble effect.
Now I made the marble veins with the black Distress oxide.
With the side of the ink pad you draw stripes on the craft sheet.
You spray this with water and put the paper on it.
Don't wipe, just dab the black.
Let it air dry.

And look what a beautiful result.
You can of course do it in all kinds of other color combinations.
Or just keep it black and white.
What ever you like most.
Stamp the Steampunk bicycle lady with Distress oxide iced spruce.
And with Stazon black you can now stamp the round pieces of calligraphy, the alphabet strip and the butterfly.
Because the paper is coated, it takes a little longer for the ink to dry.
Now mask all the stamps and stamp the background with Distress oxide Iced spruce and a piece of calligraphy stamp.
Color the stamps to your liking and then you're done.

The team would love it if you join the challenge.
And you can also win new rubber stamps.
You are not even required to use LCD stamps.
As long as you follow the theme.
So, click on the link and join us and most of all have fun.
