#117 Mini me, Frida skull necklace. Challenge Lost coast designs.

                                                      Hello, stamp fiends, Riet here.

What a great challenge Gail (teamleader lost coast designs) has given us.
Mini me, love it.
This challenge really sparked my imagination.
I love shrink foil, so that was the solution to make something small.
And this is the result, a Frida skull necklace.
Hope you enjoy it.

This is what you need to make the necklace.
White shrink foil.
Markers or pencils
Stazon Jet black

First we start with stamping the Frida skull.
Color it, keep in mind that you keep the colors light,
When the foil is heatted and shrinks the colors will be much darker.
Cut it out and heat it in oven or with the heattool.
Read the instructions on the shrink foil package.
Next step is to take a die and cut it out on your machine.
Dont have a die cut machine?
No worry, you can cut a form with a sissors.

Dont forget to make the holes, make them big becouse of the shrinking.
Mine where as big as a pencil.

Stamp with the stazon the fourth demension stamp.

Now wait till the ink is completely dry.
When not dry it can smug when you shrink it.
Now you glue the skull on the background

Attach a few metal rings through the holes, like on the picture.

continue to assemble the necklace as shown on the picture.

I hope you have as much fun with this necklage as I had.
Thanks for reading my post, and have fun with making your own juwelry.

Dont forget to show your minime on the LCD blog in the challenge.

Challenge 117 at Lost coast designs, Minime, make something small

 Hello stampers and crafters.
What a great challenge, make something small.
This can be anything, an atc, a small box, atc coin, juwelry, shrinkfoil.
I chose shrinkfoil, just love that stuf.

This is what i used.
Sewing bobbin.
A piece of white cotton ribbon.
Shrinkfoil clear.
Distressink:
 Evergreen bough and seedless preserves.
Stazon timber brown.
Bister natural
White acrylic paint
White posca marker
Derwent inktense pencils
Alcohol markers
Mini paper roses.

I started with the ribbon.

I sprayed some water on it and painted the green and pink textile paint on it.

This paint has a pearl shimmer and that looks so lovely.

With the bister natural diluted in water i gave it a bit of a older look.
Set the ribbon aside and let it dry.
We go ahead with the bobbin, and paint it white.
When the paint is dry, give it some smears with the distressink.
Now we stamp with the stazon timber brown the dictionary and florish stamp.
Now we color the florish and make some white accents with the white Posca marker.
Stamp sleeping Lucy on the clear shrink foil with the timber brown.
Shrink the foil with a heattool or oven.
now color Lucy.
Not the wings, they are so beautyful when they are transparent.

Now you can gleu on the roses and the ribbon.
Glue little lucy in the flower, so that it looks as of she is waking up from a little nap in the flowerbed.
I hope you have fun with this tutorial.

I hope you are inspired to join our challenge.
Please let us see your take on the minime challenge.
You have a change to win some rubber.
