#157, Somthing seasonal challenge.

Hello, this is the start of a new challenge at Lost Coast Designs/Carmens Veranda stamps.
Something seasonal.
I made a slimline card, and this is how I made it.

Stazon black.
versamark
gold embossing powder with a glitter in it.
distressink antique linen.
Distress oxide rustic wilderness

I started stamping the crackle background stamp with distressink antique linen.
On top of that I stamped the snowflakes with versamark and sprinkled them with gold embossing powder with a glitter in it.
Melt the embossing powder with the heat tool.
That's the background, now I stamped the santa with Stazon black.
I colored the santa gnome with Derwent colorsoft.
I added some gold glitter to his fur sleeves and hat.

And then i cut him out.
I made the JOY letters with the We r memory keepers Alphabet Punch Board mini.
I stamped it with Distress oxide rustic wilderness and the christmas tree from Carmens Veranda.
This stamp is large and fits easy over the entire letter.
I blackened the edges of the letters with a black posca marker.

I raised the letters a bit with foam tape, and at the O i made a double thick layer.
I did this so that I could slide the J and Y just a little under it.
I also slightly raised the gnome Santa with foam tape.

Matting on a black cardstock and then on a red slimline card.
I hope you liked it.

I'd like to invite you to join the LCD challenge.
New rubber can be earned, and you can participate with all kinds of stamp brands.
I hope to see your work too, but don't forget the most important thing, have fun creating your work.
See you next time.

Gnome challenge #134 at Lost Coast Designs

Hi, Riet here.
What a fun challenge
Do you also love gnomes?

As this is my last contribution to Lost Coast designs this year,
I bring you this last Christmas greeting.
I wish you all a very merry and loving Christmas.
And a happy new year to everyone.
I am back at LCD on the 1sth of Januari.

The stamp is the Sweater Gnome,
With the help of some maskingtape I stamped the sweater gnome 3 times.

I colored the gnomes with pencils and drew some things on the hat with a white gelpen,
so that it looks like 3 different gnomes.
Take 5 sticks of 20 cm wood and paint them.
Make the star as shown in the picture.
I glued the star first and later tied the twine around the ends.
Glue the gnomes on it.
Glue a Christmas greeting on it and you're all set.
This is so nice to give as a gift, or hang it in your tree.
The challenge runs until the end of the month, so you can still participate.
Click on the link and join the fun, and maybe you'll be the winner of new rubber this month.

#134 Yeah a challenge all about gnomes, at Lost Coast designs.

 Hello everyone,
How nice, a challenge with everything about gnomes throughout December.
I love these mini people, they are so cute and happy.
And Lost Coast designs has a lot of them.
Scroll down the page, because there are a lot of gnomes lower on the page.

Since it's December, I made a Christmas card with the gnome.
I love the Micro Distress glaze and used it with the snowflakes.
Then I used various colors of blue watercolor for the background.
I kept the bottom edge white to make snow.
I added the snow edge with a pencil.
I splashed snowflakes with white paint.
And from black glitter paper I punched some black musical notes.
I colored the ZZ Top gnome with pencils.
Then I wrote "Oh holy night" with a waterproof pen and a stencil.
And that was it for this time.
I hope you join the challenge too.
You must have a gnome stamp to join.
The stamp maybe of any brand.
So enter for a chance to win LCD/CV stamps.
Dont forget to reed the rules.
And have fun creating.

Lost Coast Designs challenge #133 Its a Wrap. Wine bottle.

Hi there, I love this challenge.
It's something different than making a card.
I thought long and hard about this project, and thought it would be fun to wrap a wine bottle.
But I didn't want to do it the traditional way.
I used the Labels set and the beautiful Lycaonia stamp,

So I changed the label of the wine bottle with the nice label set stamp.
I left the original label on the bottle and sponged the edges with distressink Walnut stain.
With the wine label stamp, I stamped with micro glaze.
Then sponged the label with Distressink Dusty Concord.
I sponged the outside of the label with distressink Chipped sapphire.
I also did this with the bow and a stamp from the pieces
of architecture set.
The bow is a die cut.

And now the top of the bottle.
Take a strip of paper that fits easily on the bottle.
Make the strip 8 cm wide.
I made a drawing of the model.

Note that the bottom strip is folded forward.
In this way it is a kind of pocket into which a tag will be inserted later.
Sponge it like the label and bow.
Now you make a tag that fits in the bag and sticks out slightly above it.
Make some dots and stars with a white gel pen.
With a stencil I wrote the Merry Christmas on it.

Now stamp the Lycaonia stamp with black waterproof ink.
I colored this stamp with pencils, but you can decide for yourself with which you color.
Glue her on the front edge of the bottle band.

Now put the band with the tag in it around the bottle neck,
see how tight it has to be so that the tag does not bend too much.
Glue the two ends together.
Assemble the bow and glue it just below the Lycaonia stamp.
 And you're done.

I hope you liked it, if you have any questions feel free to ask.
This was my last contribution for this challenge.
But the challenge runs until November 30th.
So you can still participate and stand a chance to win a prize.
And who wouldn't want to win free rubber stamps.

A new challenge at Lost coast designs, Winter blues.

Mary and angels.

 Hello everyone,
Dont you all love christmas time.
I love the decorating and card and gift making.
Our new challenge is all about winter and the color blue.
Because winter makes me think of christmas,
I chose these beautifull stamps.
So for this card and bookmark I used the gourgeus “Mary and Angels stamp”.
And the versatile “Door and Window set”.
I have used this set for so many cards, its such a great set.

 What I used,
Distress micro glaze.
Distressink Black soot, Chipped sapphire, Salty ocean,
Musterd seed and Spiced marmalade.
Indigoblu Flitterglu and gilding flakes.

And here is how I made the card and bookmark.
First I stamped the windows with distress micro glaze.
Then I sponged the windows with distressink musterd seed and spiced marmelade.
Then around the window with salty oceaan, chipped sapphire
and on the edges with black soot.
With indigoblu FlitterGlu I stamped the Mary and angels stamp.
Then I applied the gilding flakes on the glue.
Splattered some water drops on the dark blue and let it dry.

Hope you have fun and join our challenge.

Its fun and a great opportunity to win some rubberstamps.

                                                               Yes, christmas is coming.
Love this time of the year.
So I made a wallhanger.

 I used,

Plaid pants Santa

Watercolor paper, 10,5 x 14,8cm  4,1 x 5,8 inches
Stazon midnight blue and Jet black
Distressink vintage photo and antique linen
Color pencils
Silver gellpen
I started with the piece of watercolorpaper.
Stamped the santa on the paper and stamped a mask.
Mask the santa and sponge with the antique linen the card.
Use the vintage photo to ad shadow.
Remove the mask and color the santa.
Color the star and the buttons on his boots with the silver gellpen.
Now for the borderstamp
Take a long piece of paper and stamp the border 4 times with the stazon midnight blue.
Sponge it with the antique linen.
I made some shadow in the corners of the checkers with the vintage photo.
Now make a frame of the border around the card.
I glued 4 hotfix stars and added the chain for hanging.
 I loved making this hanger.
And I really think the checkerd border finished it off.
I love to work with borders, I use them a lot.

Now here we go.
Die cut the tag from the designpaper.

Do the same with the off-white paper but a little bit bigger.

Whipe with de oxide pads and spray some water over it.
Whipe with both the tags trough it.
Take an extra piece from the off-white paper en run it trough the oxides.

This is for the poinsttia’s and the twigs and holly leaves.
Let the paper dry well.
Stamp with vintage photo the girl stamp.

And sponge the edges of the tags with vintage photo.

Now die cut the poinsettia and the leaves and sponge the edges with vintage photo.
