#138 LCD challenge, Vintage/Steampunk.

Hi there, today a new card for the Lost Coast Designs challenge.
You can still join till the end of the month.

Vintage and steampunk are my favorite stamps to work with .
I love the old colors and imaginative stamps and designs.
Lost Coast designs also has very nice stamps in this theme.
These are the stamps I used on this card.

Distress oxide,
Tea dye
antique linen
wild honey
Ground espresso.
Stazon timber brown
Bring with some water the colors on to the paper.
Keep it light in the middle.

Brush or spunge some Tea dye on the edges.

Repeat with Distress oxide ground espresso.

With the distress oxide wild honey I stamped parts of the gears stamp.

And did the same with the corner of the pieces of architecture.
With a stamp from the pieces of caligraphy set and the ground espresso i stamped here and there.

With a die cut I made the medallion and sponged it with the ground espresso.
Fix this on the background with 3D tape.

Stamp the fly with bird with the stazon and color it in with pencils or markers.
Cut her out and glue her to the medallion.
I had some paper gears left over from an other project.
So colored them grey an glued them on.
And this is the end result.
I really like it, hope you will to.

If you would like to have a chance on winning some of the beautifull Lost Coast designs stamps,
Join our challenge, and have fun creating for the LCD challenge.

Challenge at Let's squash it.

Hello, I made this card for the Let's squash it challenge.
Assignment, embossing folder, green and an insect.
This is a super fun challenge blog where every challenge revolves around the embossing folder.
I don't know about you, but I have quite a few embossing folders lying around and rarely do anything with them.
But this blog keeps encouraging me to use them.
So if you feel like working with your embossing folder, go and have a look.
The embossing folder is from Spellbinder, and the stamps Bugz set are from Lost Coast Designs.
I also used Viva Decor Inka gold on the raised parts of the embossing and a white gel pen for the veins in the wings.
I also applied some fine gold glitter with the Nuvo aqua shimmer on the wings.

#138 Vintage/Steampunk challenge at lost Coast Designs

Hi there stampers, I just love this airship stamp from LCD.
So I made this tag with it.

This is what I used for it.
Click on the link if you want to go to the webshop.
Carmens Veranda sentiment,

Furthermore you need.....
Distress ink Aged mahogany,
victorian velvet,
speckled egg,
walnut stain,
vintage photo.
Stazon Timber brown.

Start by applying vintage photo as shown in the photo.
Spray some water to make stains.
Dry with the heat tool.

Then fill in the space with Speckled egg.

Take one of the Galligraphy stamps and stamp here and there with Vintage Photo.
With Vintage photo and Aged mahogany you stamp the gears here and there.

Now we put on the edges with Aged mahogany and Walnut Stain.
With some paint or ink we now also make the splashes on the tag.
Now we color the airship with the Distress inks.
Stamp the airship on the tag with the Stazon Timber brown.
Cut out the colored stamp and glue it on.
Cutting out the ropes and fence on the ship would be much more difficult.
That's why we stamp the ship on the tag.
Stamp the text with the brown stazon.

Now its up to you to show us your Vintage/Steampunk art and join our challenge.
There are stamps to win.
So Join us and please read the rules, and have fun creating.

#137 Think pink, challenge at lost Coast designs.

Hi stampers,

For my contribution to the "Pink or shades of red challenge"
I immediately thought of the sweetest love couple I know.

Oh they are so cute and totally in love with each other.

And I used the door from the door and Window set.

We're going to start by stamping and masking Frank.
Then we stamp his bride, but notice that her hand is on Frank's masked hand.
Now we also mask Frank's bride.

Stamp the door of the Door and window set from LCD.

I colored the card with Derwent Inktense pencils.
But you can color it with whatever you want.

The team of lost Coast designs would love to see your take on this theme.
Red and pinks, just love it.
Show us, and maybe you wil win some new stamps.
Goodluck.....

Tag swap with Stamping friend

Hannie Hokke (stamp friend) sent me a bag with a tag and all kinds of embellishments.
We each made a tag with it and sent it to each other. Very nice to see how different they are. Hannie has used beautiful colors on her beautiful background. I used a stamp from Deep Red Stamps, American boy for my tag.

#137 Think pink or shades of red, challenge at lost Coast designs.

Hello everybody,
Another fun challenge at LCD.
The nice thing about a color challenge is that you can choose any subject.
That could be Valentine's Day, but also something completely different.
Personally, I think the colors are quite feminine,
So for this card I decided to give it a feminine touch.
For the background I used a stencil with roses,
this one is from Dutch Doobadoo called big roses.
I smeared the stencil with modeling paste
and painted the modeling paste with red and pink watercolor paint.

I stamped the beautiful stamp of the LCD labels set on watercolor paper,
and colored it with watercolor paint.
Cut out and glued on with 3D tape and a bow on her waist makes it even more feminine.

Wouldn't you like to participate in LCD's challenge?
We, the LCD team would really like you to join.
So get started and participate, but read the rules first.
You can win beautiful new LCD stamps.

#136 challenge at lost Coast Designs, Man cave!

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Hallo stampers and crafters.
Here a post by me, Riet.

Today we have a challenge that I really enjoy but also find a bit difficult.
But that makes it all the more challenging.
To make this card you will need:

Stamps LCD

Furthermore, you will need a stone wall stencil.
I used Dutch Doobadoo wall stencil.
distress oxide,
antique linen
weathered wood
iced spruce
Ground espresso
Versafine onyx black
Acrylic paint cream color
Color pencils or markers
white gel pen

First we start by applying the antique linen, weathered wood and iced spruce to the craft sheet.
Spray some water over this and dab your paper in it.
Dry well.

Now stamp half of the fourth dimension stamp with the versafine black.
This will be the floor.
With the stencil we are now going to make the stone wall with distress oxide ground espresso.
When that's done, we shift the stencil a little bit and sponge the acrylic paint over it. We call this the bump technique.
When the paint is dry, we carefully sand the paint here and there with a sandingblock.

Stamp the jukebox and the zztop gnome on thin paper and color with pencils or markers.
Stick them on the card and give some white accents with the white gelpen.
Stamp the badass text and you're done.

Well that was fun to do.
Show us what you can make with this theme and you have a chance to win stamps.
You can even participate with stamps from another brand, as long as your card or project is stamped.
The team would like to see it.
So come and join oure challenge!

#136 Man cave challenge at Lost Coast designs

Hello stamp friends.
Today an artjournal page.
I chose the boxer stamp for this, because it fits so well into the "man cave" theme.

I worked on Terschelling 300 gram watercolor paper 24x30cm.
This paper has a rough structure and absorbs a lot of water.
And that is necessary because we are going to work with Brusho.

What materials I used:
stamps:

Further materials
Stencil: numbers - arrow - chevron.
Brusho - Orange - Leaf green - Yellow Ocre - Turquoise.
Stazon Timber brown.
Posca pen white.
Black pencil.
Skin colored marker.
White acrylic paint.
Thin paper to stamp the boxer on.

We are going to start with the design of the stamps for the background.
Let the stazon ink dry well.

Spray plenty of water on the paper.

Sprinkle small amounts of brusho on the water as you see fit.
Do this very carefully, because brusho is a true color explosion.
Think of it like this, better to sprinkle two or three times than too much at once.
See for yourself whether water needs to be added or whether it should be dabbed off.

With a stencil and white acrylic paint you sponge the numbers, arrow and chevron.

With a spatula you make 2 x wipes with white acrylic paint.
When its dry you can stamp the badass stamp on the paint.

Now only finishing, with the posca pen some lines around the stamps,
and give the checkerd border  white blocks.
Use the black pencil to outline the arrow, chevron and numbers.
And give the boxer some shade with the black pencil.
And then you're done, I hope you enjoyed this step by step.

You might like to join the challenge.
You don't necessarily have to use LCD stamps, but you do have to stamp with real stamps.
Read through the rules and then join in the fun.
You have a chance to win new stamps.
