The challenge at Lost Coast designs is, Where's my hat.

Hello dear creative people,
Today a card that is easy, so also for the beginning stampers.

These are the stamps I used.

Black inkpad and coloring pencils.

This card is really suitable for beginners and advanced.
I stamped the images with black ink.
Colored the American gothic image with Derwent inktense pencils.
I kept the flower background black/white to get a nice contrast.
And I matted with bright colors to make it a nice whole.

So you see, a nice result with little effort.
And the text is so funny.
I love the texts of Carmens Veranda stamps.
They are so hilarious, and some are really daring.
Take a look there, you will be amazed.

And now for the challenge.
It will run until midnight on April 30th.
So there is still time to make something with a hat.
You can also use stamps from other brands, yes,
it doesn't even have to have an LCD or CV stamp on it.
So get started and participate and maybe you will be our new winner
and get to choose your own prize (Stamps).
Good luck and until next time.

Matchbox with card and popup.

Made a matchbox to say "Thank you".

When you open the drawer a little birdie popup shows.
Under the birdie are 2 mini twix bars.

So cute the popup.

And this is the little card that lays under the twix bars.

New challenge at Lost Coast designs/Carmens Veranda stamps. Where's my hat.

Hello everyone, today I have a new tutorial for you.
The topic is "Where's my hat".

What I used:

Distress oxide,
Saltwater taffy,
Abandoned coral,
Antique linen,
Fossilized amber.
versafine onyx black.
Talens indian ink.
Stencil.
Color pencils or markers,
Black alcohol based marker.
what you like the most to color.
For the wings I used a die from Nellie Chiose,
Vintasia frame dies set 010.

How the card is made.
Take an 11x15 smooth paper,
and apply the oxide Antique linen and Saltwater taffy as shown in the photo.

Take your stencil and apply it with the oxide Fossilized amber and Abondoned coral.

Stamp the butterflies with Abondoned coral in the yellow areas.

Stamp the border from the brushstrokes set with the Versafine.

Splatter with a brush and some Indian ink.

Draw a line along the edges with the black marker.
Put the background aside so it can dry well.

Stamp the manga girl with the black versafine.

Color her to your own taste.
When you are done with that you can cut her out.

Cut the die out of black paper and cut the die in half.
I do have a wings die, but I liked this one better.
Stamp the text and mat the card with yellow and black cardstock.
I stuck the manga girl on with foam tape. And with some glue I stuck the wings behind her back.

I'm curious what you're going to make with a hat.
You can join the challenge with other brands as long as you use stamps.
Hope to see you at the challenge, and maybe you'll be the winner of stamps of your choice.

Lost Coast Designs challenge, Where's my hat.

Hi crafters,
The new challenge at Lost Coast designs/Carmens veranda stamps is all about hats.
So I made a milkbox with
5 gorgeous stamps with the face of Mona Lisa.

What I used for this milk box:

Distress oxide:
Mermaid lagoon,
Wilted violet,
Cracked pistachio,
Musterd seed.
Versafine onyx black.
Acrylic paint spray bottles In the same colors as the oxides.
Color pencils or markers, what you like most.
Dutch DoBaDo  box art, milkbox.

Started with spraying the acrylic paints.

Once this is completely dry,
we draw the template of the milk carton and cut it out and score the score lines.

With the crackle background
you stamp pieces of the stamp here and there with the Distress oxides.

Using the long swirl and black ink we stamp all the top flaps of the milk carton.

Take thin paper and stamp with versafine the 4 mona's.
Colour them with markers or pencils.
Glue them on the box.
Now you can fold and glue the milk carton.
Punch a hole at the top and pull a ribbon through it.
And that's it for this time.

You probably have a stamp with a hat,
but it can also be from other brands to participate in the challenge.
You then have a chance to win stamps of your choice.
Please read the rules to avoid disappointment.

I love the "I am woman" challenge at lost Coast Designs/Carmens Veranda stamps.

Hello everyone, what a fun challenge.
I decided to make an Art Journal page of it.
With the subject "women" I immediately thought of Frida Kahlo.
What beautiful art she made, and despite her physical suffering such a strong woman.
Here is the description of how I made it.

What do you need for this AJ page.

Shape die, Nellie Snellen, Vintasia oval with grid.
Black waterproof inkpad.
Distress Oxide,
Lucky clover,
Crackling Campfire,
Mermaid Lagoon,
Musterd Seed,
Wild Honey.
Coloring pencils

We start with three colors of ink and a little water.
We use that to make spots and stripes on the paper.

Repeat this with the lucky clover and mermaid lagoon.

Stamp the corner ornament with mermaid lagoon.
The calligraphy stamp with crackling campfire.
And the bubble stamp with lucky clover.
Make some splatters with black ink or paint.

Set it aside to dry.

Die cut the 3 parts of the die, the largest with black paper.
The 2 inner parts with white paper.
The middle part stays white.

The inner part is made green with lucky clover and a littlebit of water.

When its dry, splatter with the other distress oxide colors.

When all is dry, glue it together.

Stamp Frida in black waterproof ink.
Color with pencils or markers.
What ever you like to do most.

Do the same with the roses.
I stamped 4 roses and colored with pencils.

Glue everything to the background.

Stamp with black ink the phrase from Carmens Veranda,
Be a girl with a mind.

I hope you enjoyed it.
Feel free to leave a comment and if you have any questions, feel free to ask.
Now it's your turn for the challenge.
You probably have a stamp with a woman on it.
It can even be from a different brand, as long as you use stamps you can participate.
And maybe you'll win a prize, that would be nice, right?
Until next time, and have fun crafting.

The challenge at lost Coast Designs of this month is "I am woman".

Hi, here is another card for the challenge at Lost Coast Designs.
Love the theme of this month, I am woman.
Hi, here is another card for the challenge at Lost Coast Designs.
Love the theme of this month, I am woman.

Stamps I used.
LCD:

Versamark
Versafine onyx black,
Distress ink,
Bundled sage,
Tumbled glass,
Antique linen,
Speckled egg,
Iced spruce,
Victorian velvet.
Mica powder bronze/gold

Here's how I made the card.
I started by stamping the labels and perfume bottles
in different colors of Distress ink.

Mask the bottum bottle.
Stamp left and right from the mask bottle the other perfume bottles.

In the next picture you can see what I masked,
and stamped in the next phase.

Stamp the empty spaces with a stamp of the pieces of architecture and versamark.

Take a brush and powder the versamark prints with the mica powder.
And cut the card square.

Of course you could keep the card as is.
But I still wanted something with contrast on it.

So I stamped the girl with the curl in black ink.
Cut her out in a square.
I used foam tape to stick her in the middle.
Mat with black cardstock.

I love this month's theme.
And I'm very curious what you make.
Show it on our challenge blog or facebook.
Then you have a chance to win new stamps.
Until next time.
