Are you kidding me, challenge at Lost Coast designs/Carmens Veranda stamps.

Today a vintage tag for the challenge at
 Lost Coast designs/Carmens Veranda stamps.
I chose to work with pastel shades.
I think that suits this sweet vintage girl.

I used LCD stamps,

Distressink,
Speckled egg
Victorian velvet
Shaded lilac
Old paper
Vintage photo
Archival coffie
Or any other dark brown ink will do.

Perfect resist (home made)
2 parts white glue 1 part water.

Start by spraying the perfect resist on a clear sheet.

Use a sponge to apply it to the stamp.
Stamp on your tag and let it dry.

You apply the ink with an ink blending brush.

You will then see the stamp prints appear.
Just like magic.

Love the result.

Use a spray to make some fine water drops on the ink.

Stamp the Daisy florish Diagonally across the corners.
Do so with the wordt "Fly".

Use a sponge to darken the edges with Distressink Vintage photo.

Stamp the butterfly and girl, color them with the distress ink.
Cut them out and stick them on with foam tape.

but can also be about funny things.
It's up to you how you interpret it.
The team would love to see your crafty things in the challenge.
Anything goes as long as it's stamped on.
You don't even have to use LCD/CV stamps.
Read all about it in the rules.
Have fun creating and I hope to see your art.

#197 challenge at Lost Coast designs/Carmens Veranda stamps, "Are you kidding me".

Today starts the new challenge of lost Coast designs/Carmens Veranda stamps.
It runs until the end of the month, so plenty of time to join.
Are you joining? Then you have a chance to win new stamps of your choice.
But now to the tutorial.

What to use for this tag.

Distressink,  Antique linen.
Distress Oxide, Ground espresso.
Versamark.
Bister yellow, red, blue and brown.
Embossing powder brown with a sparkle.
Flower die.
Tag die set Crea lies-16.

Start with a piece of watercolor paper and spray it wet.
Let drops of bister fall in there and dab the excess with a paper towel.
Let it dry well.

Stamp the background with the ledger stamp and Distress oxide ground espresso.

Stamp the florish with versamark and sprinkel the embossing powder on it.
Use your heattool to melt the embossingpowder.

Spletter big drops of bister brown.

Die cut the tag out off the background and die cut a dark brown matt.
Lay the matt a side.

I cut a flower from a piece of paper that is left over (or make a new piece).

I do the same with the forever friends words from the Misc words set.
Apply DistressOxide Ground espresso to all edges.

Distress the edges of the mat to make it look old.

Stamp with Ground espresso oxide Spike and Lucy.

Let the ink dry well and then go over it with
Distressink Antique linen to make it look a bit older.

Glue the tag onto the mat.
Stick the loose parts on with foam tape.
Make a hole in the tag and pull a piece of lace or ribbon through it.

That's it for this time.
Hope you enjoyed it.
The team would love to see what you make with the theme children.

Christmas in july challenge at Lost Coast designs/Carmens Veranda stamps. Christmas baby angel.

Hello dear blog visitor.
Christmas, before you know it, it's already here.
So you better start making your Christmas cards early.
And then you can immediately participate in the challenge and perhaps become the winner.
You can even participate with stamps from other brands.
So that should work, right?

And now the tutorial for this card.
What I used:

Versafine onyx black
Distress oxyde Barn door and Lucky clover
Americana acrylic paint,
Yellow green
Bahama blue
Dessert turquoise
White acrylic paint or marker
Black fineliner
Color pencils
Black marker

I started by making a few backgrounds with the 3 colors of acrylic paint.
I did that with the brayer.
Roll out the colors until you are satisfied with the result.
If you dont have a brayer you kan use a brush or spunge.

The brush strokes sheet shows the two edges I used.
I stamped the first one with the oxide barn door.
And the second one over it with the Versafine onyx black.

I make splashes with the white acrylic marker.
Set it aside to dry.

Stamp the baby and the angelwings with the versafine.
Color with pencils or markers, whatever you like best.

Take a piece of background and stamp the text on it.
Use a thin fineliner to scribble an edge under the words.
Stamp on the right side the same as the border of the card.
Make a black border around it with a black marker.

Glue the baby angel and the text onto the card.
Use distress oxide lucky clover and a brush,
to create shadows around the baby angel.

Have you made Christmas cards yet?
Take part in the challenge and you could be this month's winner.
You don't even need to have LCD/CV stamps to participate.
It is our preference, but it is also possible without it.
Hope to see you on the challenge.

The challenge at lost Coast Designs is "Anything goes"

Dear readers, first of all I would like to wish you all a very Happy New Year.
I wish prosperity and happiness and creativity for each of you.
And of course, most importantly, good health.

The challenge has moved from a bi-weekly to a one-month challenge.
This way everyone has a little more time to make something and participate.
Now my tag for the new challenge from Lost Coast Designs.
Here is the step by step explanation.

Materials I used:

Versa magic,
Purple Hydrangea
Distress Oxide,
chipped sapphire
Distress ink,
chipped sapphire
faded jeans
speckled egg
dusty concord
Die for a window frame
White acrylic paint to splatter.
Distress micro glaze.

I started to color the tag with Speckled egg.

I made a print on the right side of the tag with the daisy floral and micro glaze.

I sponged the right half of the tag with Faded jeans and chipped sapphire.

I made some spots on the left half of the tag with Dusty Concord.

With the versa magic and the ledger stamp,
I made a print over the left side of the tag.
let it dry.

In the meantime,
I cut out a frame with a piece of paper that I colored with Speckled egg.

I darkened the openings in the die with Dusty Concord.

I stamped the text from Carmens Veranda stamps and a border from the
brush strokes sheet with Distress oxide chipped sapphire.
Did the same with the roses stamp.

Now for the portrait of Frida Kahlo.
This is a nice example of how you can also use part of a stamp.
I only used her head and it fit perfectly in the frame.

I made some splatters on the tag with the white paint.
The mat of the tag is made of lilac paper.
The edges are sponged with chipped sapphire.
Now just attach the frame with Frida on it and add some pearls for decoration.
Punch a hole and put a piece of ribbon through it.
I hope you enjoyed it and hope to see your work on the challenge blog.

Challenge at Lost Coast Designs. Stamp on patterned paper. (Design paper)

Today a card in vintage style.
I used the Labels set,
and the new floral set from Lost Coast designs.
Carmen's Veranda has a whole page full of the funniest and quirky sayings.
Really worth taking a look.
Also used:
Distress ink Antique linen,
Archival coffee
Leaves and branch die cut.
Brown ink to spletter.

Now how the card is made.
I started with a sheet of printed paper.
I stamped the label with the lady using Archival coffee.

I colored a piece of paper with Distressink antique linen.

I stamped the label with the archival coffee.
And I made the edges a bit darker with it.

Did the same with a piece of paper for the saying.

The same goes for the flowers.
These come in 4 sizes, I used the two smallest sizes.

Colored the flowers with a waterbased marker and cut them out.

Die cut some branches.
The label and text were stuck on with some foam tape.
Colored some details with the markers.
And decorated the card with the twigs and flowers.
A few more brown ink splatters and then it's done.

I hope you liked it and that you will participate the challenge.
You can be the winner of new rubber stamps.
