Challenge #130 All about the sentiments

 Hi there Riet here,
Today a card that is about the sentiment.
So I kept the environment of the text calm.
I used the Florish (large) with gold embossing powder.
A nice stamp that you can use in so many ways.
And of course my favorite sentiment from Carmen's Veranda, Child of the moon.
I started by applying 2 colors of ink to the background by running the card through ink with water.
Stamp the florish with versamark and sprinkle the print with the gold embossing powder.
Heat the embossing powder with the heat tool.
Colored the florish with pink and green watercolor paint and stamped the sentiment with a dark pink.
I hope you join our challenge, would be so much fun!
And you have a chance to win stamps.
Until next time and have fun stamping.

Lost coast designs challenge 116, Winged things.

                                                            Hello everybody, Riet here.

How are you all doing.
Hope you are crafting so you can join our challenge.
For this challenge things with wings, I made this dragonfly.
And this is how I made it.

 This is what I used:
Large florish
Dragonfly from the More bugs set.
I am a child of the moon
Glimmermist
Key lime pie
Haunted shadows
Caribbian blue
Distress Micro glaze
Stazon black
white gellpen
Distress seedless preserves
Markers or pencils (what your preference is)

 How its made.
I really love the glaze resist and use it a lot.
Just love the effect with ink on water base.
And its so easy to use and with great results.
So start with the glaze on your florish stamp.
I stamped it random on the paper.
Then I sprayed the glimmer mist.

It looks so jummie, and the colors blend so well together.
And I love the shimmer of the glimmermist.
Let it dry, I did not use the heattool this time.
The paper was very wet, and I did not want to lose the drops effect.

And how pretty is this and so easy.
Now we stamp the dragonfly on a thin peace of paper.
And color it as you like.
You can take the same colors as the background,
but it is also pretty when you use different colors.
That way the dragonfly pops more.
I often use a gelpen on my art.
Just love the effect, as specially on the wings of dragonfly's or butterfly's.
It gives it just that little bit special look.
I went along with stamping the Carmen Veranda's child of the moon frase.
Cut it in 4 pieces and hit the edges with the seedles precerves ink.
So you see that you can use a stamp in many different ways.
Now glue every thing on and your done.

#115 Red and Gold challenge for Lost Coast Designs

Red gold, Pope clown

Hi there, here is my second card for the red and gold challenge.

These are the stamps I used.
Pope clown, http://www.lost-coast-designs.com/fantocci.html
Florish, http://www.lost-coast-designs.com/flourishes.html
Happily ever after, https://www.carmensveranda.com/clearstamps5all.html
I used only the last sentence of this stamp.
Carmens veranda has a lot of words and phrases clear stamps.
They are spectacular and some are even a bit cheeky, love them all.
So if you have the time, take a look, I am sure you have a good laugh.
https://www.carmensveranda.com/clearstamps5all.html

What I used for this card.
Brusho brilliant red.
Gold glitter embossingpowder.
Black Stazon
Red marker.
Gold ink.
Versamark clear.

I started with the florish by stamping it with versamark clear.
Embost it with the gold glitter embossingpowder.
Them I sprayd with water and brusho brilliant red.
Be careful, this color is really intense.
Dry it with the heattool.
With a smal brush I painted some of the brusho in the open parts of the florish.
Now cut it in four pieces.
Save a little piece and stamp the sentiment the same as the florish.
Only stamp "happily ever after".
Stamp the Pope clown with the stazon black.
Color him with the red marker.
I have used gold ink, but you can also use a gold balpoint or something else.
Glue the parts on a white card and matt with black.
Have fun with stamping and please show us what you make in red and gold.
Join our challenge and maybe you will be the next winner.

Lost Coast Designs CHALLENGE #104 LET'S GO VEGETARIAN

The stamps I used, Sweater gnome and flower gnome with Florish.

Hi there, here a card from me, Riet.
This challenge is all about flowers, tree's, vegetables and fruits.

Today a card for the gnome love birds.
I started with an actated sheet. I cut out a heart.
Then I stained it with distress ink, seedless preserves, spiced marmalade and musterd seed.
It is lightly sprayed with some water.
I made a print on the paper with that.
You can also use a gellyplate. Let it dry well.
Masked the heart.
With distress micro glaze I made a stamp print around the heart with the florish.
Then I sponged it with distress seedless preserves.
I drew a line around the heart with a purple pencil.
The gnomes stamped on thin paper and colored in pencil.
Cut them out and glue them on.
If you use a mat take white or very light gray.
I made some stains on the edges with distress spiced marmalade.
And on the corners I put that extra on.
I loved making this card.

I find the gnome stamps so versatile, you can use them for so many things.
For example, Valentine, a wedding, Christmas and just for fun.
You can probably think of a few yourself.
I hope I was able to inspire you.
Enjoy and come on over for the challenge.

Challenge 102 Off the edge

Today I will show you  a card with the beautiful florish stamp from Lost Coast Designs.
I really like this stamp, it has open parts in the flowers and leaves. This gives you the opportunity to color the florish. Love that, dont you?
So I sponged the background with distressink squeezed lemonade, peacock feathers and picked rasberry. I dropt some water on it so you get some stains.
I took a die and cut two branches and sponge them with the 3 colors.
Stamped the florish with memento black.
I used posca pens to color the florish, yellow, pink and 2 greens.
And with a white and black posca I dotted the florish.

I had fun making this card en hope you do to.
Dont forget to join the challenge, you have a change to win some rubber.
So come on over and join.
