# 159 "Winged things" challenge at lost Coast Designs/Carmens Veranda stamps. Printers tray.

Today my contribution to the LCD/CV challenge "Winged things".

I made this printers tray (20x30cm) for a stamp friend's birthday.

It contains quite a few stamps, but I especially like the butterflies.

Here's a list of what I used and a brief description.

 Winged girl.

Girl with curls.

Long swirl.

Florish large.

Butterfly set.

Pieces of calligraphy.

Pieces of architecture.

Spike and Lucy. (only the girl)

Ledger background.

Party words.

Sentiment from Carmens Veranda, 

Just when the caterpillar.

Distressink

Broken China

Twisted citron

Fossilized amber

Rustic wildernis

Rusty hinge

Black waterproof ink.

For the frame, i used acrylic paint in the same colors.

For the spletters some white and brown paint.

Pencils for coloring.

White gellpen.

Nuvo aqaua shimmer for some glitter accents.

I first drew the frame on paper, so I knew exactly where the compartments were.

This makes it easier to determine where which stamp will be placed.

First I sanded the frame and painted it in various colors.

When that is drying I smeared the ink with water on the paper.

Then I stamped the stamps, 

The big butterfly of the Bitterfly set I stamped each wing turned left and right.

And I glued the 3 small butterflies loose so that they have depth.

Then I stamped the background around the stamps. 

Color the details with the pencils.

You can finish the it of with a white gel pen.

Don't forget to do some stamping on the edges of the frame as well.

Just splash the white and brown paint and you're done.

make a small Happy birthday tag and bind it to the foil giftrap.

Lost Coast designs and Carmens Veranda stamps.

"Winged things"

I really like challenges, 

they put your brain to work and stimulate creativity. 

So if you're interested, come join the fun and join the challenge.

but you prefer our stamps.

Today my contribution to the challenge.

I drew a mixed media portrait.

 And with my red-haired granddaughter in mind, this came out.

I worked with Van Gogh watercolor paint and Derwent inktense pencils.

Everything has been done with the watercolor except her hair.

I colored it with the inktense pencils.

I stamped the background with 

LCD Brushstrokes, Pieces of calligraphy and Pieces of architecture.

And the butterflies are from LCD Butterfly set.

The beautiful text "Art gives my soul wings to fly" is from Carmens Veranda.

These are the inks I used for stamping.

Versafine onyx black for the butterfly.

Archivel ink coffee.

Distressink Rusty hinge, Twisted citron and Evergreen bough.

 Hi there, i made this card for a little girls birthday.

The ballerina, stars and hooray ar from Pink ink designs. 

The balloons are a old stamp.

The background is made with a stencil with hearts and distressink spun sugar.

#158 Slimline challenge at Lost coast designs/Carmens Veranda.

Today marks the start of a new year, I wish you a happy, healthy, loving and above all creative year.

Now the challenge, this time very easy, a slimline card.

If you don't know what that is?

It is a card with this size.

3.5x8.5inch or 23x10cm.

The subject is free of choice, 

as long as it has stamping on it.

You can even participate with other brands of stamps.

Here are the rules.

Here is my contribution and a small step by step.

I used LCD stamps,

Brush strokes,

mother goose mice,

Party words.

Chipboard 2023

black paint

Colorfull glitter

coloring pencils

Versa magic,

Turquoise gem,

Red magic,

Purple hydrangea,

Pink petunia,

Tatched straw.

A brush for splashing ink.

Black ink.

I started by stamping the twisted circle in all colors.

That reminds me of fireworks.

Then I applied very fine splatters with all the colors.

While this dried I painted the numbers black.

When everything is drying well I stamped the mice on thin paper and colored them with pencil.

Cut them out.

Coat the numbers with glue and sprinkle the glitter on top.

Matte the card with black and glue the numbers to the card.

Glue the mouse on top and stamp with black ink the "Happy new

year" on the card.

And then your card is ready, nice and very easy to make.

Challenge at Lost Coast Designs, "Something seasonal"

Hello blog visitor.

Did you guys have a good Christmas, I did.

So now we go to the new year.

So I made an invitation card for a new years party.

I used these stamps for it.

pieces of calligraphy,

Pieces of architecture,

shadow frames,

brush strokes,

party pig girl,

Party words.

I used Distress oxide peacock feathers and Seedles preserves.

And a waterproof black ink.

A stencil.

Maskingtape.

I started by inking the stencil with seedles preserves.

Spray with a little water and print on the paper.

Then stamp and mask the girl with waterproof black ink.

If you find masking too difficult, you can also stamp and stick her on thin paper.

Use the other stamps as on the example.

But of course you can also make your own mix.

Remove the mask and color the girl with the distress oxide.

Stamp the words from the Party words sheet and glue them on the card.

Make an outline with black and the distress colors.

Finally, splash some black ink here and there on the card.

Christmas tree hanger.

 I made a christmas tree hanger.

I used Pink ink designs stamps, ballet mouse.

And the roses from Dragons dance.

Draw the circle of half a bulb.

Stamp the mouse in the center.

Sponge with distressink bundled sage and stamp some of the twigs on top.

Stamp the roses from the Dragons dance set, 

color them with distressink victorian velvet and cut them out.

Color the mouse on thin paper.

Cut it out and stick it on the stamped mouse on the circle.

Cut out the roses and stick them on in layers with foam tape.

Now place it in the bolb and close it.

I glued a ribbon to the seam so it looks nicer.

Tie a ribbon on top and glue a rose on top.

Merry Christmas to all of you.

Hannie had de laatste keer gekozen voor kleuren op kraft papier met een mandala.

Christmas tree hanger.

 Made a hanger for the christmas tree. 

Te mouse is from pink ink designs. Hooray mouse.

There is lots of glitter on it.

Ik heb de noline colloring techniek gebruikt en met aquarelverf ingekleurd.

Made this card with the beautiful stamp of Studio Light Essentials nr.240 Pionsettia.

I used the no line colloring technique and colored it with watercolor paint.

Yeah!!!! I won at Ink Art designs.

 I won the November challenge at Ink Art Designs and received my prize yesterday.

Dot Leathbridge is always so nice to add some extra stamp prints.

There was also a Pink ink designs Christmas elf,

and I thought it was so cute that I had to color it right away.

So just finished the whole card today.

I also used the Christmas tree stamp from Carmens Veranda,

and the text from Lost coast designs Party words.

Birthday card for my daugther.

My daughter turned 37.
Where has the time gone.
I made her a birthday card, with a stamp I bought years ago and never used.
I painted it with Van Gogh watercolor paint.

#157 "Something seasonal" challenge at Lost Coast Designs.

 

Hi there, 

This card is my DT contribution to the challenge of,

Lost Coast Designs and Carmens Veranda stamps.

Anyone can make this card, including beginners.

What do you need.

LCD stamp Mary and angels,

LCD stamp Misc words.

Black paper, white paper and gold paper 200grams.

Gold embossing powder.

Versamark.

Black ink, no matter what brand.

Holly die and poinsettia die.

Stencil with stars.

Aleene's glitter snow.

This is how to make the card.

Stamp the Mary and angels stamp with Versamark,

 and sprinkle with the gold embossing powder.

Let the EB powder melt with the heat tool.

Cut the stamp out and matt on black paper with foamtape.

Matt again with white.

And put it aside.

The background card is made with the stencil and Aleene's snow.

Please note, only around the angels.

When its dry you can glue the angels on the background.

With a die of a poinsettia I have die cut in gold and white.

I did the same with holly branches.

I shaped them a bit and stuck them on the card with glue.

I stamped the words on white paper with black ink.

Cut them out and glued them over the twigs with foam tape.

#157, Somthing seasonal challenge.

Hello, this is the start of a new challenge at Lost Coast Designs/Carmens Veranda stamps.

Something seasonal.

I made a slimline card, and this is how I made it.

I used Carmen's Veranda christmas tree,

Lost coast designs, 

large snowflakes set,

Crackle background,

Gnome santa with toys.

Stazon black.

versamark

gold embossing powder with a glitter in it.

distressink antique linen.

Distress oxide rustic wilderness

I started stamping the crackle background stamp with distressink antique linen.

On top of that I stamped the snowflakes with versamark and sprinkled them with gold embossing powder with a glitter in it.

Melt the embossing powder with the heat tool.

That's the background, now I stamped the santa with Stazon black.

I colored the santa gnome with Derwent colorsoft. 

I added some gold glitter to his fur sleeves and hat.

And then i cut him out.

I made the JOY letters with the We r memory keepers Alphabet Punch Board mini.

I stamped it with Distress oxide rustic wilderness and the christmas tree from Carmens Veranda. 

This stamp is large and fits easy over the entire letter.

I blackened the edges of the letters with a black posca marker.

I raised the letters a bit with foam tape, and at the O i made a double thick layer.

I did this so that I could slide the J and Y just a little under it.

I also slightly raised the gnome Santa with foam tape.

Matting on a black cardstock and then on a red slimline card.

Challenge 156, Tag you're it at Lost coast designs and Carmens Veranda stamps.

Hi there, today its a tag for the challenge at Lost coast Designs.

The stamps i used are:

Long swirl

Mini fish collage

Checkerboard rustic border

I made a background with a bubbles stencil.

I stamped the fish collage stamp with black stazon on it.

Then I drew a wobble line above the stamp with a waterproof fineliner.

Above that I stamped the swirl with black stazon.

And another wobble line drawn.

Above that I stamped the checkerboard.

And gave the stamp white squares with a white posca marker.

I stuck washi tape under the collage stamp.

And underneath that I stamped the checkerboard border again,

 and just like above I made the open blocks white with a posca marker.

With markers i colored the collage stamp.

Now about this beautiful collage stamp.

There are 8 new collage stamps on the LCD site.

There is also a nice new set of stamps called "Brush strokes".
