#162 Challenge in Black and white at Lost Coast designs.

For the "Black and White" challenge
I made a real clean and simple card and framed it .

The stamp of the Elk skull is so beautiful that you can really use it alone.
This stamp comes in 3 sizes and I used the largest.
This is 5 x 6 inches and can therefore easily be framed.
I printed the stamp with Heroarts Unicorn.
There is no other ink that stamps so beautifully and clearly on black paper as this one.
Give it plenty of time to dry or dry with the heat tool.

Once dry I colored here and there with the white posca marker.
And really, that's more than enough.
The stamp is beautiful on its own.

You can of course send it as a card.
But you can also frame it like I did.
I like both.
Come and join the challenge, you still have a few days until the end of the month.
Participate and have a chance to win new stamps.

#162 Challenge at Lost Coast Designs, Black and White.

 Hello all,
At Lost Coast Designs there is now a black and white challenge.
Quite a challenge for me because I almost always work with color.
After a long time of thinking I finally managed to make a card without color.
This is what I used for this card:

Versafine onyx black.
Marabu Art crayon black,
or neocolor II or FC Gelatos will do.
Masking tape.
.Black fineliner.

How to make the card.
Stamp the moth and mask it.

Stamp the girl with curl and mask it.

Stamp the ledger stamp over the girl with curls.

Stamp a few moth stamps to fill up the background.

With the black crayon we are going to put some stripes
on the edge of the card and around the stamp of the girl.
also a little on her cheeks.
We wipe it out with a damp finger.
With a fineliner we now put some scratched stripes and scratches on the edges of the card and around the girl.

From the Misc words sheet I take the word "Beautiful".
Stamp it and cut it out.
Use the chalk to make some shadow on it.
Matte it with black paper.
I made a white and black mat around the card.

Do you feel like participating?
You are verry welcome,
and if you participate you have a chance to win new stamps.
That's nice right?

Good luck and till next time.

Art journaling with a magazine picture.

Very occasionally I make a page for my art journal.
This time I followed an online workshop by Willie Duit.
Super fun to do and with the clear explanation and photos not difficult to do.

Spring has Sprung challenge at Lost Coast Designs/Carmens Veranda stamps.

Wonderful, spring is finally here.
We have a nice spring challenge.
I made you a birdhouse with the Los Coast Designs stamp "Megans Christmas Bird".
Well you will think, but isn't that a Christmas stamp?
That is true, but with some adjustments you can change that.
I simply replaced the lights with blossom flowers.
So you see that you can use a stamp for several things.

I Used:
Folkart acrylic paint, toasted vanilla.
A dark brown water-based pencil, i used Derwent inktense.
Soft pink paper.
Soft green, brown and dark green paper.
colored pencils.
Distress oxide Saltwater taffy, Wilted violet and Dusty concord.
Ink on 3 pad.
Enn cutting pliers for small flowers.
Dies of a branch and leaves and a egg.
A green and purple fine line marker.
Stazon Timber brown.
White acrylic paint to splatter.
Dryed green moss.

To start, stamp Megan's christmas bird with the Ink on 3.

Color the bird as you like or as the example.

Cut out the bird and branches, but you can cut back part of the lamp.
We will glue the flowers on that later.

We are now going to paint the house, it is a nice soft yellow color that looks a bit old.

When the paint is dry, we draw lines with the dark brown inktense pencil.
These should be the wooden planks.
Go over the lines with a damp brush of water to blur them slightly.

With the crackle background,
we stamp here and there a piece of the stamp with Stazon Timber Brown.
Now we die cut the large branch from brown paper.
We also die cut the small leaves with light and dark green.
And dont fotget the little pink blossoms.
Use the green fineliner to draw the veins on the leaves.
And the purple fineliner for the flowers.
Glue the flowers and leaves on the branches.

Now for the egg.
Color a piece of paper with the Distress oxide Salt water taffee.
Add a layer with the wilted violet.
But smudge this a bit.

Now stamp over it with the crackle background.
Die cut now with the egg shape die.
Make the edge of the egg darker with the Distress oxide Dusty concord.
Splatter some white paint over the egg.
You can now glue everything in place.
Don't forget to add a bit of moss as a nest.

I love the spring look this little house has.
Now for the challenge, the team hopes you will join.
We are curious what you make for beautiful spring cards,
or tags or something completely different.
It's entirely up to you, as long as it's stamped on it.
So click the link and join the fun and you might win new stamps.
