Today marks the start of the new monthly challenge at
Lost Coast Designs/Carmens Veranda stamps.
The theme is "Gnomes".
Well, Easter is just a few days away, so I thought I'd use that cute Rabbit gnome.
Look, he already has his Easter basket in his hand to go collect eggs.
This gnome is on the mini set 3 but is also available in a large size.
I used the mini gnome.
How do we make this card?
What you need:
Distressink:
Scattered straw
Crushed olive
Gathered twigs
Archival ink Coffee
Bister naturel or any other brown ink.
Vellum
Die for the vellum.
White gelpen
Glitter stones.
Foam tape.
I started by making the background yellow using the Scattered straw and some water.
And I added brown spots to it with gathered twigs.
I stamped the crushed olive onto the card using the crackled background.
Die cut an egg and stamp it with the Daisy florish
Color the edge off the background and the egg with the Distress ink Gathered twigs
Color the piece off vellum and color it brown with de Gathered twigs.
Let it dry and continue with the background.
Stamp the part of the daisy florich with Archival Coffee on the corners of the card.
Splatter with the natural bistre and let dry thoroughly.
You can use a heat tool to dry it.
Stick the vellum in the middle of the card.
Use thin foam tape for the egg and thicker tape for the gnome.
The word 'hope' is on the misc words sheet;
I only inked the letters HOP and printed them 3 times.
Give the gnome and the word 'hope' some accents with the white gel pen.
Stick the glitter stones onto the vellum and you are done.
The LCD/CV team would love to see your stamp art in the challenge.
You will also be eligible to win new rubber.
Anything is allowed as long as it is stamped on.
You can even participate with other brands.
Please read through the rules here.
