Lost Coast designs challenge #101 Background forward.

I really had to think about this card, making the background the star isn't that easy.
I am not used to that.
But I just like to work with my distress micro glaze, so of we go.

Distress glaze, distressink spun sugar, victorian velvet, gathered twigs.

Take a little spung and aply the glaze on to the stamp and stamp it on a piece of paper that is 5cm or 2 inch longer than the stamp.

Start sponging the bottem with spun sugar, work your way up with victorian velvet. And at the top gathered twigs. Its so magical to see the birds and trees show up, just love it.
I tore the bottom of the card and distresst it with gathered twigs and stampt the moon child stamp. Matt the card with a off white cardstock, and from the same cardstock I die cut the birds. Easy and swift.
So hurry up and join us in this exciting challenge.

Stamped with versamark clear and black embossingpowder.
Then I used 3 colors of blue watercolorpaint and began at the bottom with the lightest.

Challenge #100 Celebrate, at Lost Coast designs blog.

# 100 Party clowns in orange and green.

Hello everyone, come and join the challenge at Lost Coast Designs blog.

And what a fun challenge team leader Gail has chosen.
Celebrate, yes let's celebrate life, especially now in corona time.

Join our challenge and lets celebrate and party all together.

You can still join untill the 14th, on the 15th there is a new challenge.

Take a chance in winning some rubber.

This is my take on this theme.

What I used:

LCD stamps Fantocci big nose clown and Pope clown.

Black stazon and black distressink.

Dylusion paints and spray’s,

Freshe lime, squeezed orange, polished jade, lemon zest.

In the background I used some Dutch Doobadoo masks.

Wyber, metall 2 and bubbles.

The cutting die’s are from Joy Crafts,  lets party and flags.

Color pencils, or what color medium you like to use.

And now to work, dear stampers, have fun.

I first sprayed the 4 dylusion colors and let it dry. I used  an a4 so that I had some paper for the baloons and flags. I cut the flags twice and the baloons once.

Then used the DDBD masks with the paints. And cut a piece of paper 12cm x 20cm.

In the time it is drying I stamped with black stazon the clowns and colored them.

Now the background has dried I used a black and white color pencil

Around the bubbles and wyber masks. With some black distress I made the shadows on the flags and baloons. Now cut out the clowns and glue them on with the flags and baloons. I always matt my work, but it is not necessary.

Hope you enjoyed this little tutorial.

And please show as your work and join the challenge.

There are some nice prices to win.

The new challenge over at Lost Coast Designs, #100 Celebrate.

Celebrate, red white and blue clowns.

Hi everyone, here a post from Riet for the Celebrate challenge.
Oh how I love these clowns, they are such great stamps.
And as specially with the celebrate theme for this challenge.

I used:
Distressink, chipped saphire and barn door.
Acylic paints, red, white and dark blue.
Color pencils or markers, what ever will do it for you.
Dutch Doobadoo mask, stars.

I starded with the distressink colors chipped sapphire and barn door.
I wiped the ink over a craftsheet and sprayed some water on it.
I tryed to make one half red and one half blue.
Used a Dutch Doobadoo mask stars and some red and blue acrylic paint.
Red on the blue side and blue on the red side. Let it dry well.
Once its dry you slide the mask a few milimeters and go over the red and blue with a white paint (bump technic).
Let it dry well.
Now we stamp the pope clowns with stazon black on a piece of paper, and color them in and cut them out.
Pencils ore markers, what ever you like.
With a little star punch I made 3 stars en glittered them in red, white and blue.
With a little banner die, I cut a piece of left over paper and wrote “celebrate”.
Gleud the stars on a piece of whire. Now you can matt the background and glue all the pieces on.
So, I had a lot of fun making this celebration card, hope you do to.
