Red, white and blue challenge at lost coast designs/Carmens Veranda stamps

Today a card with the fun big nose and pope clown.
These are really fun for the red, white and blue theme of this challenge.

What I used for this card:
Stencil
Hotfix silver stars and squares.
Distressink:
Pumice stone
Antique linen
Chipped Sapphire
Fired brick.
Versafine Onyx black

I started by giving the white paper a vintage color.
I know it's supposed to be white, but I wanted to give the card a vintage look.
I did that with Antique linen and Pumice stone.

I applied the red and blue distress ink with the stencil and an ink blender.
First one half, then turned the stencil over and inked up the other half of the paper with red.

While the stenciled background is drying, I stamped the clowns with versafine black.

I colored the clowns with the red and blue distredd ink.
Let them dry.

Now continue with 2 strips of paper and repeat the
vintage coloring in the same way as the card.

Stamp the rustic checkerboard border 3 times in red and blue.

Now it's a bit of a puzzle to get the patterns to match as well as possible.

Cut out the clowns and glue them onto the card.
Finish it all off with the silver stars.
Glue on to red and blue cardstock.
This was my contribution to the challenge.
Now I'm curious what you make in red, white and blue.
Maybe something for the 4th of July?
Show us and participate in the challenge.
Wouldn't it be nice if you were the new winner?
You can even participate with stamps from other brands.
That's all allowed, as long as you use stamps on your project or card.

Challenge 170 at lost Coast Designs. Red, White and Blue.

 Hi there stamp lovers,
What fun to make something in red, white and blue.
And what a great challenge.
They are of course the colors of the 4th of July holiday in the USA.
I made this tag with that in mind.

What I used for this tag.

Rosettes die.
border die with stars.
Star punches,
Stencil with sun rays.

Distressink,
Chipped sapphire,
Fired brick,
Antique linen,
Vintage photo,
Walnut stain.

Aqua markers blue, orange and red.
Dark blue and red cardstock
A blank tag.
Red, white and blue ribbon.
Foam tape.

How to make this tag.
I started with Megan's Christmas Bird.
Using a stamping platform and the aqua markers, I stamped the bird.
I cut it out and set it aside to dry.

I sponged the tag with the 3 distressink colors.

Then sprayed it wet with water and dryed  it with the heattool.

I did the same with a small strip of paper,
and stamped with the Chipped sapphire `Let´s Celebrate`
from the Party words sheet.

With a sun rays stencil you sponge the distressink Fired brick on the tag.

And with a stamp from the Pieces of Calligraphy set
and Chipped sapphire you make 3x a print.

Make a puddle of ink and water and run the rosette strip trough it.
One with red and one with blue.
Let it dry.

Blend some walnut stain on the edges.
Fold the rosette and glue a star in the middle of it.

Cut the dark blue cardstock slightly larger than the tag.
But a lot longer on the bottem so that you have the space to make a border with a star die.
The last you cut is the top of the tag in the blue cardstock.
Now we are going to assemble the tag.
I adhered the bird and the banner with foam tape.
With punches I made stars in red, white and blue.
For the rosettes and here and there on the tag.
Don't forget to put a star on the bird's hat.
This is how we make the holly on the hat disappear.
Now mat the tag with the red cardboard.
A red, white and blue ribbon through it and the tag is ready.

I hope you wil join us and show what you made with,
Red, White an Blue.

#147 Celebrate it! Challenge at Lost Coast Designs challenge blog. Come and join, its fun!!!

Hi, today it's my turn for the "Celebrete it" challenge on the Lost Coast designs challenge blog.
I know America celebrates the 4th of July, the day America became independent.
An important holiday for Americans.
I found this manga with top hat stamp so suitable for that.
So in honor of America this card.
And here is the step by step how the card is made.

I used this:
Red glitter, I used wow glitter.
Double-sided tape.
Red, blue, skin tone, orange and yellow markers.
White pigment ink.
Stazon Midnight Blue.
Star punches in 2 sizes.
Blue, red and white paper.

I made stripes with the double sided tape.
After removing the tape protection, sprinkled the glitter on it.
I did this 2 times.
Looks so great.
I stamped the manga girl with Stazon midnight blue.
Then I colored the girl with markers.
For cutting I use both scissors and a knife.
Then I punch small and slightly larger stars from the dark blue paper.
Then I stamp the words and cut a banner.
You can do this also with white embossing powder.
I stick everything on the card with foam tape of different thicknesses.
Matte with blue, white and red.

I hope you enjoyed it and are inspired to join the challenge.
