For the "Cold and Frosty" challenge at Lost Coast Designs/Carmens Veranda stamps.

Dear blog visitor,
Well, another year has almost passed.
This is also my last time this year that I blog.
But I hope to see you again in the new year.

For today,
My DT contribution for the "Cold and Frosty" challenge of  Lost Coast Designs.
Still time to join till the end of the month.

Now how to make this quick and easy card.
Supplies,
Die of a deer.
Distress ink, Iced Spruce.
Any black inkpad.
White gell pen.
White acrylic paint.
Black marker.

Start with a piece of torn printing paper.
Lay it over your paper and use a finger sponge.
Use Iced Spruce to make edges along the paper.
If you apply a little more pressure in a few places you can make tufts of grass.

Now we are going to use Distress ink Iced Spruce
and the brayer to create the sky.
Go slowly, taking ink multiple times is better than too much at once.
Stop when you are satisfied with the result.

Now we are going to stamp the tree with black ink.
There are several ways to use your stamps.
In this case, the Grunge Tree stamp has a border.
I cut the tree out. This way you have 3 stamps.
You can use it completely, or just the tree, or just the border.
I stamped the tree twice.
Once straight as a tree and once diagonally against it as a thick branch.

Just look at the white circle.
We fill in the space to connect the branch with the tree with a black marker.
And that's how you make the tree as big as you want.

Using the white gell pen we make snow on the tree and branches.
And with the acrylic paint we splatter snowflakes.

Now I have to admit that I made a mistake.
I glued the die cut of the deer after splattering with the white paint.
I should have done that earlier so that the deer also has snowflakes on its back and body.
But the choice is up to the maker what you like better.
I also extended the tree trunk with a black marker.

Glue your card onto black and white cardstock,
and you have a beautiful yet easy to make winter scene.

I wish everyone a happy new years eve, and see you in 2025.

If you have a winter card, come and join the challenge.
Maybe you'll be our next winner.
No LCD stamps required to join.

Cold and frosty challenge at Lost Coast designs/Carmens Veranda stamps.

Hello everyone,
my contribution to the "Cold and Frosty" challenge is a Christmas card.
I will tell you how I made it.

I used:

Distress ink:
Tumbled glass
Weatherd wood
Distress oxide:
Chipped sapphire

Black waterproof ink.
Versamark.
Holly leaf die.
Snowflake stencil.
White embossing powder with a sparkle.
Nuvo glitter gloss silver.
Wax stamp.
Silver metalic marker/pen.
Light blue marker or pencil.
Heattool.
Dark blue cardstock 13.5cm x 18cm.
White card 9.5cm x 14cm.
White cardstock 9.9cm x 14.4cm

Make this background by going over the stencil
with tumbled glass and weathered wood.
Lightly spray some water on it.
Print it on the paper.
Take another piece of paper and make a puddle with the two inks.
Dab your paper in it and make spots,
we will die cut the holly branches out of this paper.

Stamp the girl with black ink.
Color her with the blue marker/pencil.
Cut her out and glue her on the card.

With the longswirl you stamp top left with the versamark.
Sprinkle the embossing powder and heatset it with the heat tool.

Stamp the words with black ink.

Take a dark blue cardstock of 18x13.5cm.
Cut or punch the corners off.
Stamp it with the stamp of the pieces of architecture and Distress oxide chipped saphire.
Set aside to dry thoroughly.

Die cut the holly branch twice.
Make the berries silver with the metallic silver marker.

Make a wax seal.
Of course it's up to you.
You can make a wax seal, or something else.
A poinsietta is also a great idea.

Assemble the card and finish it.
Now we go with the Nuvo glitter over the girl.
I did the fur edges on her coat.
Also the bow on her leg and neck, her hair and shoes.
It's a shame, the glitter is so hard to see in the photos.

That's it for today, I hope you enjoyed it.
Have you also made something that is cold and frosty?
Then join our challenge.
The design team would love it if you join.
You also have a chance to win stamps of your choice.
And you don't even have to join with LCD stamps.
(Read the rules.)

A new art journal page.

When I make a page for my art journal I work on a single sheet.
The right side is for the stamping and the left side I want to use for a work description.
I hope my daughter will appreciate it later.
I made this with watercolorpaint and distressink.

Birthday card with a gift card folder.

Today is the birthday of my dear daughter, Kim. Boy, do I love that girl. I normally don't give money, I find it very impersonal. But she wants to decorate a craft room and can buy something for that. The card is made in the colors of the money. And on the inside a gift card folder with the money in it. Stamp from Pink Ink Designs.

It's the first day of the Cold and Frosty challenge at Lost Coast Designs/Carmens Veranda.

Hi there, I made this tag for the challenge at Lost Coast Designs.
It is easy to make and this is how:

I used:
Distressink,
Speckled egg,
Tumbled glass,
Chipped saphire.
White stampingpad
(hero arts unicorn)
Ink blending brushes.
Embossing powder white with a glitter in it.
Stazon midnight blue.
Versamark
White acrylic paint.
White gelpen.

Start by applying the distress ink.
Lightest color at the bottom and work darker towards the top.
Stamp the city scape with Stazon.

Splash some water on the dark part and dab it with a paper towel.

Stamp the large snowflake with versamark,
and embos with the white/sparcle embossing powder.

Make some white lines on the towers of the city scape stamp.

With the Lily flores swirl and the hero arts unicorn,
you just stamp a little piece on the upper corners.

Splatter snow flakes onto the tag with white acrylic paint.
With some dark blue cardstock at the back and a pretty ribbon the tag is finished.

I would love it if you would show your winter makes.
You can do that if you join the challenge of Lost Coast Designs.
You don't even have to use the stamps of Lost Coast Designs.
As long as you stamp on your project.
You also have a chance to win new rubber stamps.
So join and have a chance.
