New challenge at Lost Coast Designs/Carmens Veranda stamps #206 Love and Hearts.

Hello stamp lovers.
Today a simple card and suitable for beginners and advanced stampers.
I just love to make Valentine cards and gifts.

I used:
LCD Prom night. (girls stamp).
Stencil with hearts, Dutch Dobaado.
Distress oxide Kitch Flamingo.
Versafine Onyx black.
Black marker.

I made the background with the heart stencil,
and a finger sponge and Distress Oxide Kitch Flamingo.
Don't clean the stencil, but spray it with a little water and print it on a piece of paper.
This will create the negatieve of the stencil.
We will make a text banner from this
and stamp the "sister love on it".

Stamp the Prom Night stamp with the Versafine onyx black on white paper.
And make the edge black with the
black marker.
Do the same with the text banner.

Attach the sisters and the banner to the background using foam tape.
Matte the card with black cardstock.
Now that was easy, not?

Would you like to win new rubberstamps.

Last days for the things with wings challenge at lost Coast designs/Carmens Veranda stamps.

What is it about ravens?
They've fascinated humanity for centuries.
There's something magical and yet frightening about them.
LCD has some beautiful stamps featuring ravens.
Now, how the card/AJ was made.

What I used:
LCD stamps,
Black waterresistent inkpad (Versafine)
Distress oxide,
Uncharted mariner,
Chipped sapphire,
Villainous potion,
Musterd seed.
Black soot.
White gelpen
Pink and tuqoise watercolor paint.
Brayer
Wrap foil
Masking tape
Since I have absolutely no drawing talent,
I'm thrilled with the stencils from Angie's Happy Hobby.
I used the stencil to create the large raven.

Tape the stencil with the ravens to your paper.
I started with a circle mask for the moon.
I sponged around the mask with Villainous potion.
I sponged Uncharted Mariner around that, and then Chipped Sapphire around that.
I sponged the base where the raven stands with Black Soot.
Remove the moon mask and sponge the moon with Mustard Seed.

Stamp the raven, the tree and the crow on the bird.
Using the white gel pen, we make white lines on the tree and the birds.

Set your work aside and let it dry completely.
Now we'll move on to the background.
We'll create the background using watercolor paint and plastic wrap.
Let dry.

With the brayer we apply some more Uncharted Mariner and Villainous potion.

Make prints with the window stamp.

And stamp with Versafine the stamp from Pieces of calligraphy.

Cut out the ravens and glue them onto the card.
Matt the card with black, and it's ready.
The challenge runs until the end of the month,
so join in for a chance to win new stamps.

The challenge at Lost Coast Designs/Carmens Veranda stamps Is all about "Winged things".

What a fun challenge this month!
I immediately thought of this beautiful stamp from Carmens Veranda Stamps,
This card is very simple to make.
I colored the stamp with pencils, which is something I really enjoy doing.
I also used layers of designer paper.
For that, I used June Bug by Basic Grey.
I distressed the edges of the paper and inked it with Distressink Walnut Stain.
I also added a voile bow and a copper flower with a green stone.
I glued a glitter stone heart onto the sternum.

I hope you'll join the challenge.
There are beautiful, high-quality rubber stamps to be won.
You can participate with any brand, as long as stamps have been used.
So come and join in!

My stamped nativity scene.

Yes, I know, Christmas is over.
But I just finished this nativity scene.
I had a wooden house,
I put an LED light in it,
 and stamped the background and
colored it with watercolors and Inktense pencils.

Lost Coast Designs/Carmens Veranda Stamps.
Click the link to go to the challenge blog and enter.
The theme is "Things with Wings".
You can enter with other brands as long as they have been stamped.

Now for the card explanation.
I used:
Brown ink to stamp the bird.
Distressink chipped sapphire for the ornaments and text.
Watercolor paint for the coloring.
White gelpen for the accents.
Gold marker (Posca).
Gold glitter
Punch with numbers.
White acrylic paint to splatter.

Stamp the bird with brown waterresistent ink.
Make sure the bottom four lights don't get inked.
We'll attach the numbers to them later.
I colored with watercolorpaint.
Gave the background a dark blue cloudy schadow.
Colored the lights red and the fitting gold with the posca marker.
Punch out the numbers and color them gold.
Then add gold glitter on the numbers.
Glue the numbers to the lightcord and the 5 to the bird's beak.
Stamp with Distressink chipped sapphire the ornaments and the text.
Add accents with the white gelpen
and splatter the white acrylic paint to create a snowy effect.
Matte with dark blue cardstock.

I hope you enjoyed it, and if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask.
I look forward to your participation in the challenge, and who knows, you might be the next winner.
