Mijn kersthuis

He, heerlijk. Het staat weer, de kerstboom plus nog wat rommeltjes.
Met dank aan mijn lieve dochter Kim Van Zundert die er weer heel veel uurtjes in heeft gestoken.
En wat een mega talent in decoreren.
Tja, you love it or you hate it! Maar ik ben er smoor op.
De roze kerstman is dit jaar nieuw, gekregen van kim, komt ze decoreren en krijg ik nog een cadeautje erbij.
Finally, it's up again, the Christmas tree plus some other christmas deco.
Thanks to my dear daughter Kim Van Zundert who has put in a lot of hours. And what a mega talent in decorating.
Well, you love it or you hate it! But I'm lovin it.
The pink Santa Claus is new this year, received from Kim, she comes to decorate and I get a present.

Lost Coast Designs challenge #133 Its a Wrap. Wine bottle.

Hi there, I love this challenge.
It's something different than making a card.
I thought long and hard about this project, and thought it would be fun to wrap a wine bottle.
But I didn't want to do it the traditional way.
I used the Labels set and the beautiful Lycaonia stamp,

So I changed the label of the wine bottle with the nice label set stamp.
I left the original label on the bottle and sponged the edges with distressink Walnut stain.
With the wine label stamp, I stamped with micro glaze.
Then sponged the label with Distressink Dusty Concord.
I sponged the outside of the label with distressink Chipped sapphire.
I also did this with the bow and a stamp from the pieces
of architecture set.
The bow is a die cut.

And now the top of the bottle.
Take a strip of paper that fits easily on the bottle.
Make the strip 8 cm wide.
I made a drawing of the model.

Note that the bottom strip is folded forward.
In this way it is a kind of pocket into which a tag will be inserted later.
Sponge it like the label and bow.
Now you make a tag that fits in the bag and sticks out slightly above it.
Make some dots and stars with a white gel pen.
With a stencil I wrote the Merry Christmas on it.

Now stamp the Lycaonia stamp with black waterproof ink.
I colored this stamp with pencils, but you can decide for yourself with which you color.
Glue her on the front edge of the bottle band.

Now put the band with the tag in it around the bottle neck,
see how tight it has to be so that the tag does not bend too much.
Glue the two ends together.
Assemble the bow and glue it just below the Lycaonia stamp.
 And you're done.

I hope you liked it, if you have any questions feel free to ask.
This was my last contribution for this challenge.
But the challenge runs until November 30th.
So you can still participate and stand a chance to win a prize.
And who wouldn't want to win free rubber stamps.

#133 Its a wrap challenge, wrapping paper, gifts and boxes etc

Hello everyone,
Today I have 4 delicious chocolate bars to show you.
Yes unfortunately only to look and not to eat, lol.
They are presents from my granddaughter for her kindergarten teachers.
She is celebrating her birthday,
and in the Netherlands we give some treets to the teachers and children.
I decided to work with something with wings.
I've only worked with Distress Oxides.
I also used the beautiful stamps from Lost Coast Designs.
The sentiments are from Carmen's Veranda.
The mandalas are masks.

Would you also like to join our challenge?
There is a chance that you will win new rubber stamps.
You can participate with any stamp brand you want,
as long as you use real stamps at work.

Challenge 133 - Its a wrap, tags, wrappingpaper, gifts or boxes.

Hi crafters,
With the holidays just around the corner, this is a very nice challenge from Lost Coaost Designs.
If you participate you have a chance to win new stamps.
You can participate with stamps from all kinds of brands, as long as your project is stamped.
This time I made a packaging around a box, so much fun to do.

This is what you need to use:

versamark,
Silver and gold embossing powder,
A little box,
Paper with music notes, black paper, gold and silver paper.
Poinsettia die set, and other christmas die's
Distress oxide, Picked raspberry, Seedless preserves,
Abandoned coral and Kitsch flamingo.

We are going to start with a piece of paper with musical notes.
Make sure the box fits in the paper.

We dab the paper in the different colors Distress Oxides.

When that is dry, we stamp the various large snowflakes with
Versamark and sprinkle it with silver embossing powder.

I cut off 3 small snowflakes from the snowflakes border,
and made separate stamps from them.
This is possible because the LCD borders are quite long.
I stamped it with versamark and sprinkled it with gold embossing powder.

After you have heated the powder, let the paper cool down for a while.
Wrap the box with the paper and make a band of black paper around it.
Die-cut all dies and exchange it with gold and silver.
This way you can make a mix in your design.

Glue everything on and you're done.
I hope you enjoyed it and that you get started as well.
The team and I would love it if you would join the challenge,
so we hope to see you on our blog or facebook.

Challenge 132 at Lost Coast Designs, Art dolls and Diva's

 Hello everyone,
Today an art doll as a card.
Years ago I participated in a swap, theme was puzzle with your stamps.
I believe the original idea came from Hermine Koster.
So much fun to do, if you like a real challenge.
You can join our challenge and maybe you will be the winner of new rubber stamps.

I did the coloring with distressinks.

These are the stamps I used.
Click on the stamp, if you like to go to the webshop.
I put these three parts together to make the art doll.
I used the Ledger stamp for the background and 2 pieces for the border.

Click on the banner to go to the challenge.
I hope I see you there.

#132 Challenge Art dolls and diva's. I made a Prima ballerina

Hi everyone, have you recovered from Halloween yet?
Gail, our team leader has come up with a lovely challenge for you.
Art dolls or Divas.
Super fun, let your braincells work hard for this challenge.

I made a vintage Prima Ballerina.
And this is what I used for it:

For the wings, LCD More bugs the bee.

1st layer of the skirt, LCD pieces of calligraphy.

2nd layer of the skirt, LCD pieces of architecture.

I used the Spellbinders art doll die for the legs.
And for the skirt the sizzix rosettes.

I stamped the stamps with Stazon Timber brown.
For the coloring, distress ink.
bundled sage,
victorian velvet,
tattered rose,
antique linen,
speckled egg,
scatter straw,
old paper,
walnut stain.
Water resistant fineliner, preferably in dark brown.
Nuvo aqua shimmer.
A small flower to glue on the waist

And this is how I made the prima ballerina.
First I stamped all the parts on white paper.
Started with a thin layer of Antique linen.
Then colored her with the pinks and speckled egg.
I colored her hair with Scattered straw.
I sponged the legs first with Antique linen and then with Tattered rose.
Then I drew shoes on the feet with the fineliner.
I colored the wings with Spackled egg and bundledd sage.
When that's dry, go over it lightly with Nuvo aqua shimmer.
With bundled sage the tip of the hat and details on the bodice.
I did the bodice twice and glued them with 3d tape on.
Now for the skirt that is completely stamped with Stazon timber brown.
Stamp the first layer with LCD pieces or calligraphy.
And the second layer with LCD pieces of architecture.
Sponge the edges with Walnut stain.

Now cut everything out and glue her together.
I wrapped a stick with washi tape and glued it to it.
That way I can put her in something nice, maybe a nice plant.
Or put it in a nice bottle.

I hope I was able to inspire you and that you participate in the challenge.
If enough people participate, the prize is free rubber stamps.
Isn't that fun?
So click on the link and join the fun.
