A tag for the Halloween challenge at Lost Coast designs/Carmens Veranda stamps.

I absolutely love making Halloween creations!
And I’m so lucky to be able to work with one of the new LCD stamps.
This stamp is called "Cartoon Witch,"
and there are four new stamps released in this same style.
The stamps I’ve used are:

Furthermore, I have used.
Versafine onyx black.
Distress oxide,
Villainous potion,
Twisted citron,
Spiced marmalade,
Mowed lawn,
Crackling campfire.
White gellpen
Glossy accents
Color pencil or markers, what you prefer.
Halloween dies.
Black and orange paper.

How to make the tag.
I started by applying the oxides to a sheet and then running the paper through them.
Create some lovely patches of color using all the different shades.
Begin with light colors and then build up to the darker ones.

While the oxide ink dries, we die-cut the pumpkins from black paper.
Using orange paper, we glue small pieces behind the pumpkins to create the faces.

Using a sponge,
apply Spiced Marmalade, Twisted Citron and Villainous potion to a piece of white paper.
Die cut out the word "Halloween."
Look roughly where you want to place the little witch and stamp her in black on the tag.
Stamp the little witch in black onto a piece of white paper and color her in.
Cut her out.

I used my stamptool to stamp the branches of the grunge tree in black.
I’m going over the branches with the white gel pen.
First, glue the pumpkins onto the tag, followed by the word "Halloween,"
and then the little witch.
Stamp the "Carmens Veranda" text in the space between the branches and the witch.
Enhance the text using a white gel pen.
Also, add some accents to the little witch and the pumpkins.
Sponge the edge of the tag with Villainous potion.
Mount the tag onto a black backing.
Only when you are completely finished,
should you add the glossy accent to her little eyes.
Let it dry overnight.
And just like that, the tag is done!

Why not join in on our challenge—you really should!
You might just be the next winner to receive some new stamps of your own choosing.
Well, that’s it for now—see you in the next post!

Halloween wallhanger made with Lost Coast designs stamps.

Hello blog readers.
Here is my entry for Day 13 of the Lost Coast Designs Halloween challenge.
This time, it’s a wall hanging;
sorry about the poor lighting in the photo, but it rained outside all day.
I really enjoyed creating this wall hanging.
And here is how I made it.
Stamps I used.
Lost Coast designs

A few spiders (bought at the store).
A few Halloween dies.
Sizzix Ornate frame.
Versafine onyx black inkpad.
Distress Oxide:
Spiced marmelade,
Musterd seed,
Twisted citron,
Villainous potion.
Distress ink:
Brushed corduroy,
Antique linen.
Derwent Graphytint pencils.
Ball of black cotton thread for making tassels.
Black beads; I used wooden beads painted black.
White gelpen.
Amsterdam black acrylic paint.

How I made it.
I started with Ornated frames.

Painted them black.

I traced the inside of the die with a pencil.
Stamped the images and masked them.
Then I stamped the spiderweb background.

Sponge the background using Distress Antique Linen.
Remove the mask and color the images.
I chose to use the Derwent graphitint for coloring,
as they have a somewhat more muted, vintage look.

I added fine lines to the spiderweb using the white gel pen.

Cut out the oval and glue it into the frame.

Now, don't those look cute?

Now stamp the raven and color it.

Now let's move on to the die-cuts.
You can use all sorts of things for that, of course.
You surely have something in your stash that relates to Halloween.

For the Happy Halloween die, I die-cut the text in black.
I sponged the background with,
Distress Oxide:
Spiced marmelade,
Twisted citron,
Villainous potion.

The pumpkin is sponged with
Distress Oxide:
Spiced marmelade,
Musterd seed,
and the leaves with Twisted citron
and Villainous potion.
For the white parts I used a purple pencil.

The little ghosts are sponged with distress Antique linen
and the edges with distress Brushed corduroy,
To give them a vintage look.

Die-cut the spiderwebs from white paper.
Trace the outline of the die onto black paper and cut it out.
Glue the spiderweb on to the black background.

Make the tassels; if you don't know how, you can find videos about it on YouTube.
Now all that's left is the assembly.
I found a broken-off branch in the woods and attached everything to it.
Here's a tip: ask someone to help you with this.
I did it on my own, and it was quite tricky to hang everything neatly with the right sides facing forward.
You really need an extra pair of hands.
I hope you enjoyed the workshop.
It took a lot of time and effort to create it.
I would really appreciate some feedback from you.

Now come and join the challenge at Lost Coast designs fan blog.
There is a chance to win rubber stamps.

Halloween challenge at lost Coast designs/Carmens Veranda stamps.

What I used for this card.
Versafine Onyx black.
Derwent chromaflow
Happy Halloween die.
Bats die.
Ranger stickles, Diamond and Cranberry.

An easy card today. The background was stamped using the spiderweb background stamp
and VersaFine Black ink. I stamped the Dracula image and then colored it with Derwent Chromaflow pencils. I added eyes to the bats using red Stickles. And I applied Diamond Stickles to the "Happy Halloween" die-cut. Everything was attached using foam tape.

Halloween challenge month at Lost Coast designs/Carmens Veranda stamps.

Today marks the start of the Lost Coast Designs Halloween challenge.
The team will be showcasing plenty of Halloween and Day of the Dead themes this month.
I get to kick things off, starting with my witches circle dance.
For this card, I used the Sizzix Stamp & Spin tool.
The card measures 20x20 cm.
I used the Mini Gnome sets 1 and 4 from Lost Coast Designs,
The small pumpkin and spiderwebs were created using a die.
I stamped with VersaFine Onyx Black and colored with Derwent Chromaflow.

The team would love for you to join the challenge.
You can win new stamps.
