The LCD/CV team was published in Rubberstamp Madness.

 Dear blog readers,

We at Lost Coast Designs/Carmens Veranda Stamps are proud to be featured 

on pages 30 and 31 of the fall issue of Rubberstamp Madness, titled "Being in a Design Team."

There are seven talented DT members in total: Gail, our team leader,

Liesbeth, Cathy, Darlene, Aimee, Kathi, and myself.

I was therefore surprised that some of my work was published with the article.

I had made an arcordion booklet.

These are the stamps I used:

Pokey cat

Pokey dog

Pokey pidgeon

Pokey mouse

Flowers

Brush strokes

Misc words.

The booklet is made with Brusho and black acrylic paint.

I hope you enjoyed it.

#136 Man cave challenge at Lost Coast designs

Hello stamp friends.

Today an artjournal page.

I chose the boxer stamp for this, because it fits so well into the "man cave" theme.

I worked on Terschelling 300 gram watercolor paper 24x30cm.

This paper has a rough structure and absorbs a lot of water.

And that is necessary because we are going to work with Brusho.

What materials I used:

stamps:

Boxer 

 Checker board rustic border 

Pieces of architecture 

 pieces of calligraphy 

Ledger.

Carmen's Veranda Stamp: Once a Badass.

Further materials

Stencil: numbers - arrow - chevron.

Brusho - Orange - Leaf green - Yellow Ocre - Turquoise.

Stazon Timber brown.

Posca pen white.

Black pencil.

Skin colored marker.

White acrylic paint.

Thin paper to stamp the boxer on.

We are going to start with the design of the stamps for the background.

Let the stazon ink dry well.

Spray plenty of water on the paper.

Sprinkle small amounts of brusho on the water as you see fit.

Do this very carefully, because brusho is a true color explosion.

Think of it like this, better to sprinkle two or three times than too much at once.

See for yourself whether water needs to be added or whether it should be dabbed off.

With a stencil and white acrylic paint you sponge the numbers, arrow and chevron.

With a spatula you make 2 x wipes with white acrylic paint.

When its dry you can stamp the badass stamp on the paint.

Now only finishing, with the posca pen some lines around the stamps,

 and give the checkerd border  white blocks. 

Use the black pencil to outline the arrow, chevron and numbers.

And give the boxer some shade with the black pencil.

And then you're done, I hope you enjoyed this step by step.

#131- Day 27, 31 days of Halloween, Hanging of the raven.

                                                             Hi there, kreepy monsters.

                                                              Are you scared yet????

Today this card is for the Lost Coast Designs Halloween challenge.

You can still participate, it runs until 31.

I started with the door and window stamp set.

I stamped these stamps with versamark and clear embossing powder.

I colored the windows with Brusho soft yellow.

The rest is done with Brusho blue, green and black.

When everything was dry, I removed the ebossing powder with an iron and paper towels.

With stazon timber brown I stamped the winged skeleton on paper and cut it out.

I stamped the goth raven 3 times with stazon midnight blue.

I once cut out the head and once the top half of the raven, and once a whole raven.

Then I colored them with water based markers.

I made a hanging loop from a piece of string,

 and put some brown stazon on it to make it look a bit older and dirtier.

Now you can put everything together like on the card,

or at your own taste.

On the heart I glued a big red stone in the shape of a heart.

Hi there, for this challenge from LCD stamps its monkeys and repeat stamping.
So i stampt the window stamp with bister and the background is also made with bister.
The three monkeys are colored with markers. Come and join the challenge, the more people join the bigger the price. Big price is 10 dollar of stamps. and you can participate with other brands.

Hi there, today I have 3 cards to show you.
I made them for a swap with a specific technique.
You can find the tutorial on the link, it brings you to our leading lady of stamping in the Netherlands,
Hermine Koster. The backgrounds of the cards are all stamped and colored with Brusho.

Hallo allemaal, vandaag laat ik jullie 3 kaarten zien die ik gemaakt heb voor een swap.
De techniek die we moesten gebruiken is er een van Hermine Koster.
Klik op haar naam en het brengt je naar de uitleg van deze leuke techniek.
De achtergronden zijn allemaal stukjes gestempeld en met brusho bewerkt papier.

Voor mijn dochter Kim heb ik een doosje gemaakt waar een Glade geurbakje in verstopt kan worden.
In de achterzijde zitten gaten zodat het luchtje makkelijk uit het doosje kan komen.
Stempels die ik heb gebruikt zijn: Indigoblu, Stampendous vogelkooi, Joy crafts vogeltjes, het medaillonnetje op de achtergrond is van Marianne design, van Lost coast design zijn de woordenboek teksten, vogelkooi van the artistic stamper.

I made this box for my daugther, you can hide a glade airfreshner in it.
In the back there are holes so the send can escape from the box.
Stamps I used: Indigoblu, Stampendous birdcage, Joy crafts birds, the madaillion on the background is from Marianne design, the second birdcageis from the artistic stamper, the dictionary words are from Lost Coast Designs.

Even snel deze kaart gemaakt, Kim is gaan samenwonen met haar vriend.
Een dankjewel kaartje, omdat ze altijd zo'n fijne dochter is.
Omdat paars haar lieveling's kleur is heb ik het hart met paarse brusho (tekoop bij the stampingcottage)  ingekleurd.
