Lost Coast Designs color challenge #98

Hello there, my contribution to the challenge with the colors, Terracotta, turquoise, black and white. Love these colors. Stamps I used are: Mother of dragons and large florish. And wow what a gorgeus stamps they are. I used watercolor paper and watercolor paint. Stazon jet black and versamark clear and black embossing powder.

Because the mother of dragons is a very detailed stamp, I stamped it with embossing powder. Then masked and the swirls stamped. I colored with watercolor paint. Black mat pasted behind it and you're done.

Tag swap with shaving foam

This tag was made for a swap. The background is acrylicpaint  brayerd on a piece of cardboard.
Than stamped with white ambossingpowder and made the flowers with shavingfoam.

Hello everyone, how are you doing? The new challenge will start again at LCD. And this time it is a color challenge, love it !!!! Terra, turquoise, black and white. Wow, what a wonderful combination. Here is my contribution with a small explanation. Materials:

Cityscape

Fourth Dimension

Crows Border

Versafine onyx black

Watercolor paint

White gellpen

Start by stamping the Cityscape stamp on the bottom of the card with the black versafine and mask that. Then you stamp the top half of the Fourth dimension stamp. On top of that the crows border. Then color the top edge with the turqouse crows and slightly darker blue in the corners. Then you color the Cityscape stamp as you see fit. Some accents with the white gel pen and you're done. Winged girl for the Myth and Magic challenge

Hello, LCD fans.

Today I want to show you my last contribution for this month.

It is for the Myth and Magic challenge.

Well I think this winged girl is very magical.

And here is a description of how I made her.

Watercolor paper 14cm x 20 cm,

Stazon timber brown, Distress ink, antique linen, seedless preserves, spiced marmalade, peacock feathers, broken china. Prima marketing vintage pastels watercolor paint. Distress glaze. Black cardstock.

A mask or stencil.

Nuvo aqua shimmer.

I started stamping the winged girl with stazon timber brown. Then with a finger with distress glaze around the stamp, only the outside edge. Then colored the winged girl with the watercolor paint. When it was completely dry I applied the entire stamp with a layer of distress glaze. I sponged the border around the stamp with Distress ink antique linen. Then placed the mask or stencil on the paper and go over it with a sponge with distress glaze.Then you take the 4 distress ink colors and rub some of them on your craft sheet. Spray a little bit of water on it and put your paper on it. You don't have to worry about your image, the distress glaze works as a resist. Let it dry well and matte with black cardboard.

Give the wings, dress and hairband a little bit off aqua shimmer. Have fun and join our challenge at

Lost Coast designs challenge, Myth and Magic

Hello all. What an exciting challenge, myth and magic! Well I think it is a great subject. That is why I used my cyclops stamp. I made it a bit of a dark card. And this is how I made it.

Materials I used:

Disterss Oxide, Lucky clover and Fossilized amber.

Distressink, Black soot.

Stazon, timber brown.

White gell pen.

On a craftsheet you make a few swipes with the two colors Disteress oxide and a small spray of water. Pick up the ink stains with your card. Let it dry well, and repeat if necessary.

And dry well again. Stamp the cyclops with Stazon Timber brown. Color it in, you may know yourself with what, I used inktense pencils. I made the card darker with distress Black soot. Work inwards from the corners. This way you get a light behind the cyclops. I carefully dripped the Distress black soot with some water. Finally, with a white gell pen, give the cyclops accents. Have fun with it, and don't forget to participate in our challenge. You can win new stamps, who wouldn't want that?

Lost Coast Designs Spring has sprung challenge

Are you also crazy about Easter? I do love it. Making the house cozy and making nice cards for family and friends. So this is my Easter card. I chose Distress Oxide, love it.

In the colors:

Musterd seed

Mermaid lagoon

Abandoned coral

Lucky Clover

And the stamps I used are, Bubbles background.

And Katzelkraft, bird. Which are also for sale at Lost Coast Designs.

I made a background with all the colors Distress Oxide. Made the border around the card with a black posca marker. After that I made the black grids with a stencil and the black posca marker and added some lines with a white posca.

The egg is heat embossed with a fine black embossing powder.

Now the fun part starts. I colored with all the distress colors I used for the background.

It takes some practice, but I love the result. I treated it like watercolor paint. Stampt the bird on a piece off watercolor paper, and colored it with Distress Oxide.

Lost coast designs challenge "spring has sprung"

 Hello everyone.

Today I want to tell you how I made this art journal card.  First I took a piece of sturdy cardboard and pasted on a page from an old music book.  I kept the music paper a bit smaller than the cardboard so that you can see the edges.After I smeared the paper with Gesso I colored it with Gelato's.

Then I added the diamond's with a stencil and Gelato stick. I drew edges around it with a pencil and scratched it with a knife. I stamped the top edge with Versa magic and the Hearts and Curls Border.  With a brush with water I went over the hearts so that they are a bit lighter in color.

I wrote the text and added the dashes with a Posca marker.

Well that was the background, and then for the beautiful dragonfly stamp from the More Bugz sheet. Take a piece of watercolor paper. Stamp with a waterproof ink.

I colored the dragonfly with Tombo markers, but you can color it with whatever you want. Then here and there some white paint splatters and you're done.

En wat een leuke is het. Spring has sprung. Heerlijk Lente kleuren en thema. Je hoef niet eens LCD stempels te gebruiken, maar het heeft wel voorkeur. Vergeet niet eerst de regels te lezen. Veel plezier.

This is my contribution. A spring landscape made with the beautiful shrubbery stamp. The card is made with pan pastel and stamped with stazon. I stamped it twice to give the impression that the culms move in a gentle breeze. I dabbled with acrylic paint markers. it all looks like small flowers.
Dit is mijn bijdrage. Een lente landschapje gemaakt met de prachtige shrubbery stempel. De kaart is gemaakt met panpastel en gestempeld met stazon. ik heb hem 2 keer gestempeld om de indruk te wekken dat de halmen bewegen in een zacht briesje. Met acryl paint markers heb ik getippeld. zo lijken het allemaal klein bloemetjes.

Made for a prompt swap. The assignment was, butterfly, black and white, a foam stamp, modeling paste and stamp on fabric.

Gemaakt voor een prompt swap. De opdracht was, vlinder, zwart/wit, een foam stamp, modeling paste en stempel op stof.

This big tag is made with Crafty Individual stamps for the tag challenge.
There is a lot off shine and shimmer on it and I like that. I have tried to use a real vintage color, and I am satisfied with the end result.

My Lost Coast designs challenge winnings

On February 5, I had won a challenge at Lost Coast Designs. This was before there designteam call. The winner was allowed to choose 10 dollar stamps. And I choose the beautiful victoriana set.

My first post as designer for Lost Coast Designs.

I made a small gift box on a Score-pal. The box is 8x8cm en 2cm high.The name of the stamp is Praying angel. I just love this stamp, look at the expression on her face.

I first put a sheet of paper through some puddles of distress ink, Shabby shutters, Scattered straw and Pine needless. Once the sheet is dry,you can cut and creased the paper. Then you lay it flat and stamp the angel with Jet black stazon.

Then I colored in some accents with pencils with de same colors, no matter which brand.

And than the last thing is some accents with a white gell pen. I really love my white gell pen.

Tip: when you glue the box, start with the bottem. Then you can be sure that the lid closes properly.

Hello, as you know, at Lost coast designs Lost coast designs there was a designteam call.

I had responded to that because I just love there stamps.

And to my delight I can tell you now that I am the new DT member.

I choose for a  ATC. Made it on paper with a mother of pearl glossy shine. Unfortunately you cant see it on the photo. I used the "Tres caballeros" rubber stamp. The background is made with distress oxide. Here is a you tube movie.as shown on the artspecially 2018

Ik heb gekozen een ATC te maken. Ik heb paarlemoer karton gebruikt. Helaas zie je daar op de foto niets van terug. De stempel is van Lost Coast Designs Tes caballeros.
De achtergrond is gemaakt met Distress oxide.

Hi there, for this challenge from LCD stamps its monkeys and repeat stamping.
So i stampt the window stamp with bister and the background is also made with bister.

I have painted this birdhouse with Americana acrylicpaint and Posca acrylic paint marker. Than used stamps from Vivalasvegastamps and dylusion stamps. The drops and polka dots are from Prima marketing.


Heb een vogelhuisje van de action beschilderd met Americana acrylverf en posca pennen. Bestempeld met Vivalasvegastamps stempels en Dylusion stempels. De druppels en stippen zijn van Prima marketing.
