Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda, Challenge #122 Under the sea.

 

Hallo everybody, 

Under the sea, that's a great theme. 

But my steampunk mermaid was so tired from swimming under the sea,

 that she wanted to rest for a while above the sea. 

I made this work with panpastel.

 And despite the fact that it was much bigger than I actually wanted, 

I am still satisfied with it. 

I colored the mermaid on thin paper.

Then glued her on the sand.

 And with a white gell pen I made the splashing water from the waves.

As for the challenge. 

The team would love it if you took part. 

It can be anything with the theme "under the sea".

As long as you use stamps on it. 

You can even participate with stamps from other brands.

 And of course there is a prize to be won.

Drunk zebra!!!! Dronken zebra.

Mijn kaart vandaag laat een dronken zebra zien, daar heb je toch wel veel fantasy(ie) voor nodig om die te zien, hahaha!

Ik heb gebruik gemaakt van Craft Emotion's (zebra en alphabet), Studio light (zwarte rondjes) en Crealies (kringen en streepjes).

Verder heb ik ook gebruikt: Bubbles masker van DDBD, gelliplate, distress oxide en acryl verf. En gekleurd met tombo en fabercastell fineliner.

This moment, werken met de Distress Marker Spritzer en Ecoline stiften.

  Hallo beste lezers,

Soms begin ik aan een nieuw werk met een plan in mijn hoofd.

Zo ook vandaag, ik wilde gaan werken met veel achtergrond stempels.

Maar opeens, zag ik hoe mooi de spetters op de achtergrond werden.

 Ik vond het eigenlijk zonde om daar overheen te stempelen.

Dus plan aan gepast.

Ik zal eerst een lijst geven wat ik allemaal gebruikt heb.                

Helaas is op deze foto de oranje glitter niet te zien, maar op de foto hier onder wel.

Versamark clear embossing ink pad.

Wow embossingpoeder met glitter.

Distress oxide Spiced Marmelade.

Ecoline Brushpen 602-237-205-602

en de Ecoline blender.

Aquarel papier.

Zwart a4 om te matten.

Standaard wit a4 papier 160 gram

Versafine onyx black.

Papieren doily.

Heattool.

En zo heb ik de kaart gemaakt.

Ik ben begonnen met de papieren doily als masker te gebruiken.

Met de spritzer en de brushpennen heb ik een nevel aan spetters op het papier gezet.

Ongeveer zo ziet het eruit als je de doily verwijder.

Dan spray je wat water erop, en dat laat je aan de lucht drogen.

Dus niet met de heattool.

In de tijd dat de kaart ligt te drogen kan je de snipart kleuren met de distress oxide.

Droog goed met de heattool.

Met Versamark clear insmeren en de emossing glitter poeder er op strooien.

Verhit met de heat tool.

Stempel de mandala met Versafine onyx black.

Kleur hem in met de Ecoline brushpen.

Mat de kaart en als laatste lijm je de text op.

En klaar is de kaart.

This is a challenge blog that is all about embossing folders.
The subject of the new challenge is, use any Embossing Folder that leaves some space. 

And use some bling. Well thats great fun, right?
I used Nellie Snellen's embossing folder, 05 Rectangle Frame. 

And the beautiful stamp of Lost Coast Designs, Prom night. 

I stamped the stamp with Versamark and black with silver glitter WOW embossing powder. 

After that I run the card trough the Sizzix machine.

Lost Coast Designs challenge 121, Mailart

 Hi, today I have a tutorial for the mailart challenge from Lost Coast Designs.

As this is my first mailart ever, I started with a postmark.

Years ago I bought a envelope with al kinds of postage stamps.

And yes, I was lucky.

I found a stamp with a chimpanzee.

And I could combine it with the three monkeys stamp.

This is what I used:

Lost Coast Designs three monkeys stamp.

 Stencils

Distress Oxide:

Scattered straw,

Speckled egg,

Shabby shutters,

Peeled paint.

Ground espresso.

Masking tape.

Markers or color pencils.

Brown fineliner.

Stazon Timber brown.

And this is how I made the envelope.

I started with an envelope template and cut the envelope.

I tore a piece of masking tape to tape off the address portion.

And started sponging with the 4 colors, but not the ground espresso.

When I was done with that I sprayed some water on it, to make it a bit more interesting.

With the ground espresso I made some circles with a stencil.

And I sponge some around the masking tape and where the stamp will be.

When I removed the masking tape, I found the address spot to be very white. 

So I sponged some yellow distress there. 

But that is of course to everyone's own taste.

I stuck the masking tape back on its place.

With the ground espresso and a stencil,

 I sponged a bit more around the stamp spot and the address spot.

Now remove the masking tape,

and draw a fineline round the adress space.

Stamp the three monkeys on a thin paper with Stazon Timber brown. 

Color them and cut them out. 

Glue the monkeys and the stamp in place.

And now you are done.

 Hello dear visitors, today my (Riet) take on the challenge.

I used the LCD bubbles background stamp, 

and the CV, I am a child of the moon saying.

This is one of my favorite CV sayings.

But if you have some time, go visit the CV webstore.

Its stuffed with funny and lovely sentiments and sayings.

This card is easy and fast to make.

You start with stamping with versamark the bubbles background.

Sprinkle white embossingpowder on the versamark print.

Then you start spunging with 3 colors distressink.

Now on a black piece of paper you stamp with versamark the CV sentiment.

Heat set the white embossingpowder.

Take a die cut you like and cut it out.

Glue the card on a white and a black cardstock. This gives it a bit of drama.

With some foamtape you glue the sentiment on.

Easy peasy, dont you think, and what a lovely effect it has.

#120 "Sentimentally yours" challenge at Lost Coast Designs.

 

Hi there, today it's all about the sentiments.

For this card I used the Carmens Veranda sentiment "Wine and chocolate".

I can recommend you to take a look at this page at Carmens Veranda.

It is full of the most funny sentiments and saying.

You will have a big laugh, and that is always good.

Now for this card I used 3 colours distressink.

Made puddles with water and swiped the paper trough it.

Then with the same colours distress oxide I inked a stencil.

This one is from DutchDoobadoo called vintage.

Sprayed some water on it and used it as a stamp.

Stamped with black stazon the sentiment.

And to finish it off I taped some glitter tape.

Some black cardboard for the back and its finished.

De prachtige Aall & Create stempels

Hallo allemaal, 

Tja, zoals ik in de titel al zeg, de mooie Aall & Create stempels.

Ze zijn te koop in onze favoriete hobby winkel in Goirle.

Ik heb voor deze tutorial gebruik gemaakt van de 

Checkered Queen nr. 108

En dit heb ik ervoor gebruikt.

Aquarel papier

Distress Oxide:

Wilted violet

Crackling campfire

Kitsch flamingo

Lucky clover

Musterd seed

Distressink Black soet

Stencils:

DDBD:

Bubbles

Wyber

Vintage

Craftemotions:

Ornament heart bloem

Nuvo aqua shimmer

Faber castell aquarel potloden

Versafine onyx black

Witte Gelpen

En nu dan de uitleg,

Hij is eigenlijk heel eenvoudig en zeker geschikt voor beginners en gevorderde.

Stempel met de versfine de afbeelding op aquarel papier.

Dan smeer de Distress oxide direct op de stencil.

Spray er een klein beetje water op en druk hem in de ruimtes tussen de afbeeldingen.

Dit herhaal je met alle kleuren en stencils en je stop pas als je er zelf tevreden over bent.

Droog het papier goed voor je verder gaat.

Daarna ga je heerlijk met de aquarel potloden inkleuren.

De metalen elementen op haar hoed, ooglap en wang en kin heb ik grijs gemaakt en bestreken met de Nuvo aqua shimmer (glitter).

En afgewerkt met de witte gelpen.

Nu heb je een prachtig A4 schilderijtje dat zo ingelijst kan worden.

Snipart tag met Indigoblu stempels

Ik heb deze Snipart tag gemaakt.

Super handig zo'n kant en klare schud tag.

Ik heb crackel paste gebruikt en die later gekleurd met,

nuvo shimmer powder solar flear en groene en gele gelato.

Ingekleurd met tombo markers, Indigoblu art studio en studio light sl243.

De vulling zijn pailletten en van cocktail prikkers potloden gemaakt.

The Lost Coast Designs challenge is all about numbers.

And as I have a preference for vintage and steampunk stamping, I went in that direction.

I used the lovely Steampunk bicycle lady.

This card is not so difficult to make.

So even a beginner can try out this technique.

I will help you through it.

So here we go.

What you need:

Steampunk bicycle lady.

Embossing folder with numbers on it.

A white card.

Distress oxide,

Speckled egg

Ground espresso

Broken china

Fossilized amber

Crackling campfire

Distressink (not the oxide) Walnut stain

Stazon Timber brown

Markers or pencils to color the stamp.

Now the first step is to make ink puddles with,

Speckled egg, Ground espresso, Broken china

and Fossilized amber.

Spray a little bit of water on the ink.

Now pickup the ink with the paper.

Dry the paper, but leave it a little bit damp.

When embossing with a folder it works better when the paper is not compleetly dry.

Run trough your die cutting machine.

For the next step we are going to swipe with the stamppads over the raised parts.

Spray a littlebit of water so the ink will run out a bitt.

Dry the paper and then repeat the proces again.

As last repeat it with the Broken China.

Keep doing this till you like the results.

Now stamp the steampunk bicycle lady and color her.

Before you gleu her on the card, I have sew some stitching at the top and bottem.

And added 3 hotfix bronze stars.

And glued the card on dark brown cardstock.
